AC and power windows stopped working

I have a 2011 4runner limited and all of a sudden the AC and the side windows stopped working.

Oddly tho navi works, the rear power window works, and dome lights work. I disconnected the battery and that didn't do the trick

Do you guy have any tips?

I'll ask the obvious question first...did you check the fuses??


Nothing will work with the battery disconnected BTW :wink2:

A/C is on its own fuse in engine compartment and windows are under dash inside. Shouldn't be related because of a fuse unless you blew both?

I'm a complete newbie so I haven't checked the fuse and have no idea what to look for. Any suggestions?

If they are the fuses which blew and caused the problem, that's one thing. The more important question I would be asking is why?

Yep, it's under warranty, why did the fuses(?) blow, or, what is the problem, to the dealership I would go...:thumb3:

Also, when you go to the dealer, ask him/her to let you watch the techniician locate and check your fuses, so you can learn where they are and what the look for in the future. This is one way to learn those things you need to know for basic auto care. Be Safe.

In California, they are pretty strict about not letting people in the mechanic area. I always get kicked out. Most business's insurance doesn't cover customers who might get injured by a flying sockets.


Dropped it off and they said it was a bad fuse. All is good now.

Obviously the problem has to do with the OP not having a projector retro-fit and just HID bulbs. :flamethrwoer2:
