Adapting OEM Backup Camera to Pioneer Unit

Some people have tried this on the FJ forums. I had a AVIC8000 NEX that I was going to do this on when I had my FJ. However, the location of the video feed wire seemed to change between years on the FJ, so I never completed it.
2 ways to accomplish this:
Find the correct wiring going to the OEM headunit, and splice that wiring, however IIRC, there is something funky about the way it sends the signal for the reverse to be activated.
Or,
Splice the video feed at the tailgate, and run your own video feed to the Pioneer.

Seems like there is a wire in the 28 pin harness that needs to be tapped. Anyone know which one?

Thats the part that always gets me... which one... some say one, others say another. I would love to see a definitive answer.

Also, it seems I'm having issue with radio reception. Not sure if it's because it's HD radio, and reception is just bad. Does something special need to be done for reception other than the antenna adapter?

So here is the pic of the two harnesses. We attached to the one on the right with the 4 wires. However, when we were testing back on the stock headunit, the camera did not work until the plug on the left with all the wires was plugged in. So are the wires to tap on this plug for the backup camera?
Ok, so what I've gathered from doing research all day today, this is where I am. So the white and black wires in the haness to the right (not being held) are the sources to be piggytailed into RCA for the camera. Now what I need to do is connect 12volt source to either the red or the orange wire of that harness. Originally, my buddy was told just 6 volts, and was worried about frying it using 12 volts. Any thoughts on this? Really need to get this done cause I hate backing this this up without a camera with all the kids in the neighborhood. Thanks.

I personally don't see a need for aftermarket and I probably speak for a lot of the mid/older crowd.
its kinda pointless in this day and age of cellphones/ipads/garmin's and tethering.
I don't even use the nav unit in my 14 LE, if I could have picked one w/o nav I would have. I have a 7" garmin gps which is hell of a lot better than any oem nav.
if im really in a bind, I use my phone which is still better than a oem nav.
most standard features of the new head units are good enough to get by, BT streaming (Pandora, Iheart Radio, internet radio, talk shows, etc) why do you need to throw money away to replace it with another head unit that only does 1 thing better than the oem at most or even marginally better?
and the good part, I can transfer my garmin, phone to a new vehicle and get a new phone every x years compare to being stuck with a head unit that will probably never be replaced during the life of the vehicle or when you get a new vehicle.
eventually aftermarket head units are going to be regulated to niche market since oem units will be just a carrier of what your phone can do and better and more up to date than any head unit oem/aftermarket can keep up with.
but that's just my view

I've seen this. This is completely different as it's up by the rearview mirror (as I mentioned above), and is a different harness.
If you could post picture tonight, that would be great. Whether power to red or orange, and what you tapped off of. Might try and tackle this tomorrow, but trying to make sure what to do to take care of it quickly. Thanks.

If you look in the first pic you will see that I hooked to all 4 wires on the white plug I was telling you about. the white and black wires are the video signal wires. White is neg Black is pos. the other two set of wires are to power the camera on, they just need power and ground. If you look you can see that I sent the red wire to switched power(acc) and the orange wire I sent to ground. I am not sure who told you that 6 volt nonsense but, this is how it's done.
The second pic is it working on my big screen Alpine 8"
