Added another 12V socket

When I viewed this thread this afternoon at my office I could see the pictures, now I can't. Any thoughts as to why?

nice work! however didn't the bracket lose it's integrity when you bent it straight? Normally when I bend things like that, they break.

I performed this mod and didn't have any trouble with the bracket. I think you should be fine.

I found mine at O'reilly auto parts. But O'reilly didn't carry the add a circuit part. I got that at Auto Zone.

I want to install the single one (like the user who posted this) but without bending the bracket so that the outlet is hidden. Then I have a 3 outlet adapter like the one you posted above that I was going to plug into the single outlet and put it somewhere easy to reach so that I have 3 outlets handy at all times. Can I wire the 3 outlet adapter to the fuse box in replace to the single outlet?

I ended up bending my bracket enough to get it to attach, but did not bend it fully flat -- mostly because I didn't have a vice or the required tools. The end result was that the outlet itself is not visible by someone sitting in the truck and all you can see (as shown in the pictures above) is the actual plug sticking out. If I'd have bent it even less, you wouldn't even see that. I'd recommend you just play with it some...it's a cheap purchase and I'm sure you can find a result you like.

I just went and bought the parts at C-Tire and installed it from memory of looking at the pictures last night and had it installed in 15mins max.

Pics are there. It's an issue with IE8.

Use a browser beside Internet Explorer 8. Either go back to IE7, download firefox and install or download google chrome and install it and you will then be able to see the pics correctly. IE8 has a problem displaying pics.

I can't see the pictures... I have a burnt out lighter and not sure if I want to just add a new one or repair the original.
