Added ON Board Air

So last week my friend Roy Lewis (owner of Savage Off-Road) and I added on board air to my rig.

I went with the VIAIR on board Heavy Duty constant air with the 150PSI air tank from 4wheel parts. It set me back $399 and I paid Roy $200 cash to help me with the install. For an extra $35 I added a small air horn as well.

We mounted it where the spare used to be. For now the spare is the trunk until I get my plate bumper with tire carrier. We had to remove the two brackets that held the spare in place.

Roy made three custom mount plates for me as well. One for the air chuck, one to hold the compressor, and one to hold the tank. We routed the hose and wires over the gas tank and zip tied them in place. The install took us 8 hours in total. For now we put the air chuck next to the pressure gauge under the hood. Latter when I get my ODL rear plate bumper I will add a chuck to the back as well. It was fun and I learned alot. The airhorn was mounted in the ODL front bumper. For this we had to remove the front grill. I gotta say that I love the airhorn

I sure wont miss the cheapo smittybilt portable compressor that kept failing on me after just two tires. This thing pumps em up fast and will run air tools as well
