Just finished the installation about 30 min ago - excellent job Scotty and worth the wait for sure. I'm very impressed how perfectly snug the fit is with the fenders and flares and how everything lined up just right - the profile is gorgeous. .

Unfortunately I ran out of time and didn't get to install the Warn or do the TBU, but I'll have the rig back down in a few weeks and wrap things up then. As for now, I can't stop looking at how beautiful my 4Runner looks - one happy camper right here :thumb:

I'll post a few pics tomorrow when it gets back in its natural environment.

Scotty, sorry if you considered that bashing. I did acknowledge that you were working on a computer and that I believed it was operating your plasma table. I also reiterated the press bender issue, suggested it might be the bottleneck, and provided your reasoning for assembling the bumpers this way.

I do find it curious that you've read enough of my posts to arrive at this conclusion, but haven't addressed the flare issue I've commented on many times. Hell, I even mentioned it again just a few posts up to try and prevent additional headache on your end or someone being upset with their bumper. I included that I had SR5 flares during the ordering process, couldn't you have informed me of that not being an option? In any event, I'm over it:

And I just wanted to mention incase you didn't see in my other posts - but it seems like I may have gotten a bumper meant for limited flares. While I understand that I'm kind of knee deep in it after painting and all, you may want to make sure that another member doesn't accidentally receive the SR5 bumper I had ordered as I'm assuming your count could be a little skewed now.

You definitely got the right bumper. I thought I had responded to that. Sorry if I didn't. It looks more pronounced because you have a body lift on it. Its that simple.

These bumpers are built to sit a little outside the flare to protect the body. They are not built to sit even with the flare except on the LTD flare models.

FYI. I started a Group Buy Pics thread on the 3rd Gen page too for the 3G's.

Finally got it painted and mounted up last night, I thought it was pretty fun taking an angle grinder to the frame and drilling a couple big holes for the big 9/16 bolts. Once everything was prepped, the installation wend smooth as silk and lined up perfectly upon initial install.

Can't wait to hit the trails with it tomorrow - I must say, I am pretty pleased with the way it came out.

OKay, I will respond to this before a pissing match ensues.

First of all, I have kept people up to date. I am not hiding from anything and never have. I didn't have my subscription setup correctly on the thread, so I wasn't receiving emails when a post was posted. Which also begs the question as to why someone can't call or email me directly when they need status. Some people have called or emailed, and I have updated them all along. But, I don't have time to check the forums constantly either. Especially if they want their bumpers done. lol

I have already explained that people will get what they paid for, which is a badass bumper for their rig. Some already have gotten theirs. And this is where we stand right now. These are all 3rd gen 4runner bumpers that were built this week. These are NOT ready to ship yet, but some will be ready by tomorrow afternoon to leave. This is three SOLID 10hr days of labor to build 10 bumpers and they aren't even done yet. That is how much labor goes into these.

I sincerely apologize for the massive amount of shit that's going on this thread right now. I completely understand the situation and know that your working to your capacity. I would like to thank you for the continued updates and concern with regards to the situation. I truly hope this has no impact of future business as we all hit bumps in the road, or in most of our case giant obstacle that our winch must slowly pull us through!
Hang in there. I look forward to getting my bumper in whenever that shall be. If it's before Christmas I'll be happy! lol! I'm only kidding man, keep up the good work and best of luck to your business in the future.

Oh and for your (I'll tag you in the thread) and our convenience I will be doing a write up on the mods I do to the bumper to compensate for the 2in body lift I have on my rig. Ik it's not completely necessary but little aesthetic things like that gap will drive me up the wall... :der:

Oh lord I can't wait. Anyone in here have a 1" body lift on a 4th gen? thinking of doing one and not sure if ill like the gap too much with the bumper...

If i were you i would do the same just incase you don't want to end up with too much of a gap, i think a little is ok and actually good for flex but i'm with you i don't want to have too much of a gap it's not a good look!

Yea i'm thinking I might wait for us to get the bumpers too and see exactly how they get mounted. Might be able to make some brackets at work to eliminate the gap.

Please post pictures of the bumper with the body lift when you can/get it on! Really interested in seeing it with the body lift. The gap has been the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on that. And if anyone else mods it to fit better with a body lift, I'm sure a few people would love a write up.

Yes of course we will be posting pics as soon as they are installed! In the original pics of the 4th gen 03-05 bumper it didn't look like there was much of a gap at all to begin with and with the 06-09 it looks like there is a little more. So we will see how it looks with my 1/2" BL when we install it, as i said before i think a little gap is actually needed if you wheel your truck to allow for movement and flex off road.
