Addicted Offroad's Project: 100 Kilos (of the good stuff)

Two things....
1. Best looking 4th gen bumper I have ever seen.
2. How are you going to handle the ABS crap...? It's in the hub, and the computer hates when you mess with it.

I want to SAS one of my 5th gen (you planned kit should actually fit) but I not know of any good work around for the ABS system.

Sounds like an awesome plan. Can't wait to see the build progress.

If the lotto folks would only draw my numbers, you would have another black 4th gen to do all of this to.

What info can you share on this. Will it sit between the existing tcase and attempt to retain the AWD and just splice the wiring further out to the existing case, or a complete replacement.

Any thoughts on all the lights that will light up on dash or don't care.

I'm contemplating a return to building up my 4th gen again, but the low tcase gearing or duals of a 1st gen is the missing puzzle piece for me. Not so much the solid axle, but more the low gear idle over everything aspect
 
Everything is cut off and its on the lift. All the brackets are in house, axles are in house, we are working on it. I'll get some pics up in a few when I get to the shop
 
Been too long on this build. Time to start hammering on stuff.

Chuck and his wife have been waiting long enough. :shaking:

So, everything is off the frame at this point. I plan to start laying the axles and link geometry this week and start prepping for brackets and stuff. We need to cut out frame plates for the front and rear as well. And, start laying out a full drop out link crossmember.

Fuel tank is out, frame is stripped and ground, and its time to get busy on it.

So this truck came to your shop in February and you are still working on it?
 
I've tried to ignore this thread Scotty, finally caved and can't wait to see the final result. If it's anything like the 3rd gen you were selling a ways back (still wish it was mine) I may have to come out of retirement, make some money, and have you do mine!
