Adding factory seat heaters?

I think rear bun warmers sound like a great idea. Why the doors versus the back of the center console?

Two reasons.
1.door look more factory to me
2. I use the center console rear trash bag holder thingy on the 4th Gen.
3. There was power already in the door, for the power window circuit

I used a simple round toggle switch since these pads were extras i collected over the years. I did a lot of mini cooper's and we don't put a heater on the passengers seat bottom because of pressure switch for srs

I had my dealer install seat heaters (driver/passenger) on my SR5 for ~$690 (parts & labor) before I picked it up new! They put the buttons on the side of the seats. They have low/high heat options.

Google search hsk150 and then see how you feel about the dealer. And the shop was lazy and put the switch on the seat. It would take more work to get it into the center console.

To clarify these are not OEM seat warmers but aftermarket.

Hsk150 is the part number for a crime stopper heated seat kit. These sell on amazon for 45 to 50 per seat. You have about 90 in parts and 200 to 300 in dealer mark up.

I usually bill out for 3 hours for both seats on a 4 runner. About $350 dealer cost. 5th green are super easy too. No seat removal required. Pull slip tuck cut splice done. ..next

switches look nice. will they fit in the factory blanks is the real question.

Crime Stopper Heated Seat Kit - I like it. Your car gets stolen. You crank up the seat heaters with an app on your phone and fry the perp! Sweet!

Is it possible to add the factory seat heaters to a 2011 Trail Edition? It has the switch blanks…

It is. But way easier and cheaper to buy sub $100 heaters and switches that fit the knock outs. You can have it installed and wired up in an afternoon.
