Adding spindles to current suspension

i edited it after you quoted. they basically keep the lower portion the same but lifts top mounting location of UCA.

Haha that makes more sense. Probably have to change the position of the tie rod too, otherwise that would cause some insane bumpsteer

Assembling Spindle Lift

Hey everyone,
I'm bringing this topic back alive. I have a 2WD 4th Gen UrbanRunnee and I'm basically starting from stretch. I have a spindle lift and for those that have that on their 4th Gen, how long was the to assemble, difficulty, amount of time, tools needed, etc.
I look forward to y'alls responses.

I think you should run a maxtrac spindle and then drop your bilsteins to zero and then get a 2 in lift springs in the back. i think this will make it so you can run 285's comfortably and not have to cut a whole lot of fender. Lift spindles add oem droop back in your suspension. So you now have down travel for bumps in the road. With max suspension lift its like being on stilts that can can soak up bumps. But, there is no down travel to soak up a dip and it just sinks in. You will really enjoy lift spindles for dd.

install is easy you will need a socket set up to 24mm, 24mm combo wrench and a pitman arm puller

Yeah, like truckhigh said, it's an easy install even with basic hand tools. The hardest part is maneuvering the big lift spindles into place

For the pitman arm, just loosen the nut, then hit the side of the spindle with a big ass hammer. Will pop loose easily. No puller necessary. There's even a flat spot made for hitting.

I've got the boat load of parts ready for my spindle/Icon remote reservoir lift, just waiting on the front (common Icon). Anyways, I have a question about the stance. I bought the 3" Overland Series rear Icon lift springs and with the front coilover's set to about 2" of lift with the 4" spindles is that going to sit about right? Anyone have experience with those springs?

I see Ryan04 and TiN are only running 2" lift springs out back and I like the stance there. Just didn't know if the Icon 3" springs are going to be too tall.

I dont think they should be to tall. i have about an inch of preload on my coilovers so technically, it brings it up to about 4"-5" inches of lift in the front. and with your setup, coilovers at 2" and 4" spindles, it should bring it up an inch higher than mine which should look good with the 3" lift springs out back
