4-Ripcord, I was actually going to put a bat spotlight on the top of my rack.......lol.

The Icon uniballs are great. Gives a little room for extra travel, I've only had them on for a few days now, but I like them so far. Its tubular.

Heres the direct link to the pic, It should be big enough for any type of screen. Its a pretty big file.

Sorry for the crappy iphone pic. But the switches are mounted right under the 4 slot switch bank. The epoxy got kind of sloppy while doing the installation.

I didn't judge how far the metal bracket was behind it and the glue went everywhere when I pushed the switches in lol.

Andrew, great job on a truck and lights! Love them! On a side note, would you like to bump your pic to 1920px wide for those with large monitors.

No major updates, just wanted to share my new nifty drawer.

Had one of my buddies help me build a drawer for my fridge and grill. Basically just 3/4's ply with 100lbs slides. Backside has a battery tray to keep the drawer from tipping over when the fridge slides out. The grill is a Primus profile bbq grill, connects straight up to any propane source.

Once I get the garage all cleaned out, I've made it a goal to start learning how to weld. Factoryride (Spencer) told me to pick up a flux cored mig welder, thinking of building an off road trailer on 33s. Its that or I'm looking at these Tentrax trailers, but those can get pretty expensive.

I've been chatting with some of the guys at Moby1. They've got some really expensive trailers. Just waiting on them to get with NADA so I can get good insurance on it.

Once I get the garage all cleaned out, I've made it a goal to start learning how to weld. Factoryride (Spencer) told me to pick up a flux cored mig welder, thinking of building an off road trailer on 33s. Its that or I'm looking at these Tentrax trailers, but those can get pretty expensive.

The flux cored Mig is going to be the cheapest and cleanest looking weld for the price. If you have the money, and can afford a gas set up and the room for it, then go for that. It's just going to be more money when flux cored is close to the same. And the flux-cored technology now has vastly improved since when it was introduced.

Keep in mind, you may have to rewire where the area where you plan to plug your machine in. I had to rewire my garage to accommodate a 50amp flush mount to be able to run my SMAW setup I have, since it was not a standard plug. Some migs I've seen had a regular household out let though. If not you will most likely need one of these. Amazon.com: Leviton 5374 50 Amp, 250 Volt, Flush Mounting Receptacle, Straight Blade, Industrial Grade, Grounding, Black: Home Improvement plus a circuit breaker that can handle it.

Looks Good! At first glance I thought it was an ARB drawer.

If I may make a couple of suggestions:
If you are going to use the drawer for your grill maybe line it with some sheet metal and also try to keep the grill as far to the front of the drawer as possible. If you don't carry a fire extinguisher then please BUY ONE! If your extinguisher is mounted in the back then take it out before you light the grill, if a fire starts you may not be able to get to it. Let the grill cool before closing the drawer. Lastly keep it clean, build up of crud in the bottom of the grill is the number one cause of grill fires.

What'd you guys have to post them trailers for? I had them ruled out and had settled on just a tent on the roof...but now...arggg :redbrick:

It's an older pic, the bottom is now lined with sheet metal. I keep a small extinguisher at the front and the rear, just incase. The primus has a crud tray that pops out for easy cleaning. My biggest tip ontop of everything Qjake has already said is burn what's left in your hose after closing the propane valve.

Lol I ruled trailers out too. But after seeing one in person I really want one lol. I'm planning a big trip within the next couple years, I really want to do Missouri to Alaska. Rtt on the trailer along with extra fuel and full propane tanks. My interior room will be packed with camera gear, I need some extra room!

Hey Andrew - would you please do me a favor and post pics of how you mounted the 6" Rigid lights onto the Gobi, especially the center two. I have the two side ones mounted using the cradle by putting the wind deflector mounting arm thingy over the Rigid cradle mount but in hand fitting the two center ones they don't seem like they will fit.

Did your Gobi come with these silver light tab brackets? I haven't seen them on anyone elses rack except for mine. But basically these tabs will raise the cradles up to the level of the fairing mount thingy. We did have to cut down the screw just a bit.
