That's interesting, can it be reversed?

It cannot, Toyota does not allow back-flashing their ECMs, even if you got a new ECM from Toyota; it'd probably be installed with the latest software.

You're best bet is getting a similar ECM with the factory flash vs. the new one and then reseeding it to the immobilizer system.

Can someone please explain what the problems people are experiencing with this update? This post is the first I've heard of the update, and everyone is just saying there are "issues". What issues?:noidea:

One issue is if you have 2008 or newer V8, the Airpump Bypass will not work with the reflashed ECU. Nice knowing I have $4000 time bomb that I can't do anything about hwell:

I made an appointment yesterday so the dealer could inspect the dash and then later in the day they call back and say that there is a ecu recall and liked to know if I wanted to do it at the same time as the inspection.

Same here, I told him absolutely no!

When I bring it in, I'll tape the obd connection and put a note saying no flash.
