Advice on front coils lb rate...

i have a 2000 4runner 4wd. i have SAW racerunner 2.0 coilovers. they have eibach 600lb coils on them. is this a good rate coil spring for my setup? i have a xrc8 winch weight is 90lb and a 4xinnovations front bumper weight at 100lb and will have my rock sliders on soon weight unknown right now.

Yes and no. Just depends on how much preload you want and if you plan on adding any skids in the future. It's probably fine for now, but if you add some skids I'd look into the 650 lb or 700 lb coils if you want very little preload. You will be fine for now, but over time they will sag and more weight will require some higher rate coils.

i would say no, i have 650 and mine are preloaded quite a bit with just a 3" lift on 14" long coils.

i would say 650-700 lb coils.

I will be adding a skid sometime soon so maybe with that i should swap to 650lb. And hope thats enough. Or 700?! Decisions decisions...

Kinda glad you posted this. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my kings and wondered if I should take the plunge and get some heavier springs. All the weight adds up.

I've got 600lbs on my BOSS coilovers up front.

Plate front bumper, winch, full skids, about everything you'd want to hang off the front of one of these things.

I had to adjust them wayyyy down from where they were setup from Toytec new and have very little preload. I really like it and have never wished for anything heavier.
But I'm not at 3" lift in the front and wanted to keep it lower...like 2 1/2. However 3" would not be a problem whatsoever.
