Advice on HiLift or make jackstand for lifted 4runner

I've been using this for my lifted 4runner:

Works great. in the amazon reviews there were a handful of lifted 4runner owners recommending it.

I've used it offroad, but only to take the weight of a corner while I replaced a valve stem core on a buddy's vehicle.

I just extend it to reach the frame or axle, and then start jacking.

I have owned three Hi-lift jacks. I grew up on a farm and we used them to lift trucks to change tires. We changed tractor and swather tires. We used them to stretch barb wire fences. Like I said I have owned three. The older ones were pretty sketchy. My latest one is actually pretty safe compared to the old ones. The wood handles on the old ones were crap.
I have the lift mate attachment that lifts from the tire. To be honest that is the best thing that has came along in a long time. On a truck that is buried to the axles, you can lift each individual tire and put rocks or boards under the tires. I can lift the tire to apply chains in place. Without the lift mate the Hi-lift is worthless on new trucks. I keep an old tube over the jack and keep it lubed so it will work when I need it to.
When the mud is deep crawling under the truck to put a hydraulic jack or something like it is the $hits. I carry mine on my hitches.

You know Greg, I've carried one for 20 years and used it once...on a buddies rig and the reality was.....because we wanted to. I did use it last summer to help move my shed and I know how to use it....and darn near hurt myself. LOL

funny only reason I bought mine was to move/raise a shed...early this year, then to pull out Tposts
