Ughhhh that's my worst nightmare. Frankly, I got very lucky that the bunny chewed one wire, it is easily diagnosed, and isn't crazy expensive. Never the less, always a bummer!

doesnt the paracord fall out side the bottom of the tailgate when you close the hatch?

It would if you left it attached, which I wouldn't recommend. I unclip the carabiner off of the grab handle every time I used it because I usually don't need to use it everyday.
However, I recently saw someone on the forums use a bungee cord that attached to their Rago Fabrication Rear Storage Panels, and then hooked it to the middle of the paracord. Then when you close the hatch, it pulls the paracord back automatically. It was pretty slick!

That vinyl badge kit looks awesome. Are those factory ones easy to come by? Most end up looking hokey

They are actually plastic molds! They go right over the chrome badge and are secured with 3M double sided tape!

So a little update on the bunny shenanigans:
I had an appointment on Saturday morning (2/3/18) at the dealership that I bought the truck from. They greet me, I sign the paperwork for $268 to finish the job and I go into the waiting area. I wait in the lobby for 20 minutes and the service advisor comes out to inform me that they don't have the part in the shop. The wheel sensor wire is on a national backorder with no ETA. "It's usually 7-10 days before the part arrives, but it can take as long as 2 months"....great news buddy, thanks for that helpful update. AND thank you for calling me beforehand warning me that you didn't have the part. Dealership service departments are the worst run businesses on the planet. What happened to customer service?!?! This is the exact reason why I sold my BMW :redbrick:
So, another who knows how long without ABS, Traction Control and 4WD in the dead middle of winter in MN.:flipoff:

Edit: I actually found the part at a Toyota Dealership in Indiana (maybe Kentucky? I dont remember to be honest) because my local dealership is too incompetent to search outside of MN. Then they installed it. Starting to lose my faith with dealership service departments, no matter the car brand.

Unfortunately, I don't think its an option. It is actually 2 wires that are in one soy casing. From my understanding, the dealership also needs to reset the codes, and do some other work regarding the ECU. :noidea:

Prinsu 7/8 Roof Rack
This is a little upgrade from my original ROLA basket. While I enjoyed the look of the basket, it made awful wind noise and resonance that would shake everything in the interior. I found out it could be fixed in a thread that I started...but I had already bought the new rack.
I ordered this rack about a month ago and had the whole thing assembled the day it arrived. The shipping only took a week, but the last month has been hectic and crazy so it sat in the living room for a few weeks until I had time this afternoon to get it mounted. My first impressions are this:
1) It is a high quality, sleek aluminum rack. The whole unit is stout and has a great powder coated finish. Its functionality is second to none with the aluminum extrusions, allowing endless possibilities for attaching accessories.
2) The install is not flawless. I had to use many washers to shim the rack so that the front wind deflector followed the body line evenly without the aluminum extrusion hitting the roof. Even if I moved the front wind deflector up to the highest setting, I still would have used washers to shim the rack so it made contact with all of the spacers.
3) The wind deflector does not follow the roof line very well, as you can see in my pictures. This was my biggest disappointment because I purchased a rubber trim piece so the deflector could make contact with the roof so that wind was diverted over the rack, rather than under. I even laid down a piece of 3M clear bra so that it wouldn't scratch the paint.
4) A quick cruise on the highway proved that it is quiet. It makes a little bit of wind noise, which is expected, but it is much quieter than the ROLA basket. No vibrations, minimal noise, that's a win for me.
5) Overall, I like the rack. I like the design and how sleek it is on the roof (for the looks and the wind noise). I like that it is lightweight aluminum, and it uses aluminum extrusions (no rust!). I really liked the shipping time. I ordered, 7 days later it was on my doorstep. Lastly, I liked the price. Much less expensive than a Gobi/Baja rack.
I am not going to write up install instructions because it's self explanatory, and they are on Prinsu's website. Enjoy the pictures of the newest addition!

Here is a life update:
I just bought my first house today! Yayyyy moving out of my dads basement (literally). So the thread will probably be a little dead with upgrades/mods/accessories for a while because all my money disappeared with the flash of a pen. Maybe I can still get fun stuff for the truck, I can just have it shipped to my dad's house so my lady doesn't find out :noidea: I hope you all stick around while money goes towards house things like mattresses, paint, countertops...you know,all the boring stuff.
Anyway, the truck is getting a Merc Benz GLC 300 as its new stable mate (girlfriends car). My Dad's Tundra and M5 will be missed! Unfortunately the new garage is not large, it will be a tight squeeze for 2 midsize SUV's, but a garage is a garage. Just need some space for a work bench and a few cabinets for detailing stuff :hungry:
