Still digging mine. I even took a hard rock strike from a cement truck on the highway, and the lens didn't even scratch. Lots of rain with no moisture in the lenses. Very happy so far.

Those are all the pics I have of the grill project. Thanks for the kind words. Wasn't too bad at all. I started with a eBay special. Cut everything out with a body saw. Glassed the sides and body filler to smooth everything out. I wanted to keep the trim on the bumper for a cleaner look. Trimmed the grill down to fit height wise, then did the same to the metal bracket. Glassed everything together. Had to fab a rod for the secondary release. Used a rod from a dei door lock actuator. Customcargrilles for the mesh xl diamond mesh I painted satin black w/ etching primer. I can snap some more pics if you need. Shoot me a pm with any ?'s

I must've been the one to get the bad ones lol. Mine starting getting a lot of moisture after 1 month of buying them. I contacted the seller who stated that they are only covered for 15 days after the purchase for defects lol. After a lot of back and forth we came to an agreement that I would pay shipping for the defective ones and for the new ones. I've had the new set for about 2 months and so far so good. Just as a precaution I bought some sealant from the auto store and ran a bead around the lights where they come together.

The fit is pretty good and the projectors work well with HID bulbs in them. I like the look of them as well.

Sorry to hear about the first set. Thanks for the HID note. Helpful. I want to go black headlights with HID and looking for the best set up.

wonder why no SE compat

According to website, NOT compatible with Sport model. Bummer!

I did a search and 07-09 headlights should be the same regardless of model. There was just a change between 06 and 07 that would be the only difference on the Gen4s.
That only goes as far as fit, not necessarily color.

I'd love a set if they fit SE. I have a 07 and sorta baked my drivers side headlight a little to long when doing the black headlight mod, had to get an after market, and swapped the lens from that....didn't quite fit and now I have condensation in that headlight. For $200, not to have to go through all that heating, painting, etc again, Id do it.

light pattern

anyone notice a difference in the light pattern these blackout housings put out vs. stock? I upgraded to these and the light pattern seems like a "half moon" looking pattern that does not "throw" out as far as the stock housings..

The 06 and up with the projectors actually put out a nice even light patten. I have 5k HIDs and they bring the daylight lol. On mine they have an adjustment knob, not sure if yours have this or not. If so it could possibly help

Very nice. I may have to pick up a set of these. I've polished the lens a couple times but after a while they still look like crap.

All I can say is a big F YOU to the guy who thought the bolt on the side of the housing was a good idea, and that it being 8mm rather than 10mm (like the other three) was an even better idea.

No... for real it's 8mm and not 10mm? I spent at least 4 hours in the garage trying to get that bolt blindly off... using a 10mm socket... and failed miserably.

So before I go spend another 1/2 day in vain... it's 8mm for the impossible side bolt on the headlights? And you guys reached up from underneath and blindly found the bolt using an 8mm socket?

So what is the verdict here? These lights any good, is the condensation issue a one-off? Do they possibly have the 06+ Smoked Chrome headlamps or just Black?

I'm sorta itchin' to buy a set to replace my old headlamps on my '04.

I had trouble finding the 06-09 black when I looked the other day but I have seen gunmetal, no smoked chrome.

They don't seem to be listing the non-chrome '06-'09 Headlamps anymore...

I can't for the life of me find who KHC (the headlamp manufacturer) is...

Which concerns me, because it does seem to be a good quality product; but I'd like to know who actually makes them.

Yeah I know. If you find it again lemme know, I'd like to ask them about the SE's they say are not compatible.

So I did some googling and looks like the attached fits all models (including SE) PER THE AD.

I might try and do the SPYDER ones. for the 07 SE.

Edit : I just emailed sales@carid for verification, and as long as it's positive, I'll purchase.
