Aftermarket headlights

I melted a headlight doing a retrofit. Has anyone used any of the aftermarket headlights? I really only need the lens! And FYI is you have a convection turn the fan off before heating them up....

Ouch... is that just hazing or is the lens deformed?

If its just hazing, you may be able to just restore the lens when you've put the unit back together again; otherwise you're sorta SoL as I'd imagine the aftermarket hasn't entirely caught up with the 5th gens yet in the OEM headlamps department and lenses are not sold separately (then again if it's anything like the 4th gen aftermarket scene you're better off sticking with factory headlamps for the better quality lenses.)

If that is a pretty projector lens then go on eBay. I've seen the 2010 to 2013 head light assemblies go for as low as $75 with broken taps on the back housing. Looks like you just need the front clear lens anyways.

I'm curious how you separated the two halves. Were they not held together with permaseal?

It's a blister, I'll need a new front portion.
