Aftermarket Nav+Stereo in Stock TE?

Searched threads for my specific questions but no joy...

What are some high-quality choices if I bought a TE without nav/entune and want to install a TOP quality navigation/sound system?

How does it FIT in the console?

Are there choices that are MUCH better than just getting the OEM version?

Anybody have any pics of an install?

I have had a Pioneer 7" AVIC Z120BT nav in for the last 2 1/2 years with no complaints at all. 160gb ipod classic in the glove box hooked in and all my music at the touch of my finger. Very ipad like touch and flick screen.Also they are real easy to bypass so you have all the features while driving. On long trips my daughters watched a bunch of movies while I drove. Blows away the stock JBL nav I had but still using the JBL amp with aftermarket speakers. Pioneer AVIC Z120BT

Thanks Harper7! Sheesh, I tried a few different search terms and never landed there...hmmm. Operator error for sure (me)!

Lots to think about for sure...as I drive myself nuts jumping back-and-forth between the TE and LE choice. Grrrr.

Any double din DVD unit will fit (with a dash kit). Lucky if you can get a TE without the Nav/JBL Premium sound. That should save you about $4000 or more and allow you to get a much better aftermarket stereo. Pioneer, Kenwood and other popular brands will all provide better nav, better sound, more tuning options, etc. Get some better speakers while your at it. Recommend adding some amps too but some aftermarket head units have enough power to play decently loud. Then you only gotta deal with a sub and sub amp. Only downside to me is that the stock head unit looks better in the dash than the aftermarkets.
