Aftermarket rim/bigger tire question

On the 5th gen do you have a better chance of rubbing with stock rims or aftermarket rims ?? ( say with running a 285/70/17 AT Nitto TG's or something like that )

Yes there will be a lift on it. Toytec Ultimate CO's w Bilsteins and Superflex coils in rear . Im going to try to keep the front as low as possible so I can try to have a 1" rake or a little less , but I do need some rake.

I'm sure there is an acceptable range of offset/backspacing that could help achieve a no rubbing situation, because you are honestly likely to rub even on a stock rim.

But to ask if there is a better chance for rubbing...well, that just depends on the specs of the aftermarket rim. You could get an aftermarket rim in stock specs, ya know?

Maybe we could start a thread compiling a list of our aftermarket rim/tire/lift set-ups and whether or not the set-up had rub or required modification to alleviate rub. Simple outline...

Yes you are correct . I'm not thinking .

Even though I want to lift a little I really dont want bigger tires ...... guess I'm the black sheep here...lol . I did put A more aggressive tire in an AT but kept stock size.
