Guess that answers my question. Wife was in Illinois a few weeks ago and had a rental (Kia Amanti, IIRC) with heated seats. In the cold weather, she really liked them, because from hotel to work was about a 5-minute drive and the engine didn't warm up enough to produce any heat.T4RUSAF said:

Yep, only 2wd here.... Pls guys, lets not talk about this! Its a touchy subject for me.... j/k. But really, I kick myself in the ass everyday for not getting 4wd. But now a year wiser I still cannot subject myself to shelling out 8 grand to trade in for a 4wd model (w/ a house payment and money put into my other car). Maybe later when i pay it off and the rates lower a bit again.
Any trouble with the seat bottom of the passenger seat? When CST added my heated seats, they said that they couldn't do the bottom of the passenger seat because of some seatbelt or airbag sensor. I was told this by the dealership beforehand, and by CST also. Said it affected all 4Rs.
Fine by me, as the drivers seat has both.. But I'm curious now.
Oh, and how fast are these? Only complaint I have about the CST ones are that they're not as quick as I would like them to be, the ones of my mom's Pilot are faster, but hers are stock.. Other than that, they work great.. Get hot quick after they start getting hot..

yeah I know what you are talking about as I saw that sensor when I installed the heating pad. basically its a sensor that sits atop of the pad. It's what engages the little blinking light on our instrument panel... But yeah, honestly I am not sure what effects the pad would or wouldn't have on the sensor. I just put the heating pad on top of it.... we'll see what will happen. No affects as of yet. I wonder how the limited is wired up given its from the factory with heated seats?

now you've got me thinking... I know we refer to it as a sensor but its more like a pressure switch to know when some one is in the seat. But I have an idea... what I can do is make a small incision into the pad itself below the top layer (where the heating element is) and place the sensor there instead... so basically I would seperate the switch from the heating element... but thats all just a thought

Sorry about the huge delay with the pics... I promise to have them up this week. basically the reason I have had no time to take pics is cuz my garage is full of my GF's civic interior. It flooded (up to her glove box) over new year's and I had to pull everything from the seats trunk lining and carpet. She only has liability on it. Damn, it was the biggest mess. That on top of starting classes again I have had my hands tied for the better part of Jan. .. But I will take some pics and have them up by this week...

Here are some pics... I assume this is what most you guys are requesting. The rest of the install is pretty self explanatory as you have to pull the seats, run your wires... pop out the blanks and pop in the controls.. the heater unit controllers themselves I placed under each seat and secured them with zip ties.
