Aftermarket Vehicle Alarm

I park my truck on the street right in front of my house every night. Twice now, probably a neighbor, has backed up into my truck, denting the front left fender. I am looking to purchase an aftermarket car alarm that has a dual stage knock/shock sensor. I've narrowed my choice down to two options, which one do you guys think I should purchase?

I used to have a Compustar FM9000 in my old vehicle and I really liked the remote, I wish they still made them like this:

I have Compustar in my 5th gen and Tundra and I really like them. That would be recommendation.

I would also invest in a dash cam that has a motion sensor so you can at least get video of who hit you if it happens again. I don’t have any recommendations for those since I’m still looking myself.

I've been liking Compustar stuff lately. With that said, why not look into a camera. If he bumps it again then you have proof to get him/her to cough up for repairs.

Those are both nice units either one is a good choice but out of the 2 I would prefer the Compustar over the Viper. Feature wise they are really pretty similar aside from the Viper having more range. I think that Compustar remote would hold up better than the Viper. Keep in mind the Viper LCD being USB rechargeable and the Compustar having a standard replaceable battery if either of those is a preference!

The dash cam suggestion is a good one as well unfortunately shock sensor alone can be hit or miss depending on how hard/where the impact happens.
