So you built these things in your garage, boxed each one up using tape that you specially found in an odd size, then you boxed 10 (or 15) up in a shipping box so that you can unpack them and ship them out individually in a bigger outer box because those inner boxes probably won't make it through the mail.

Somehow I don't believe that you are quite as "transparent" as you want to convey.

In addition, you clearly didn't take my earlier comments to heart about not attacking customers. Your "scam" post won't make you any friends.

You go radio silent for two months in this thread and then you pat yourself on the back for having "improved communications."

Then you come back and show pictures of items that you have been diligently building, yet they look like something you sourced in China.

Finally, you come back here and insult your customers just like you did before.

When asked about the source of your products, you respond with a smiley face.

In investigations we always said "If the subject hasn't answered the question, then the subject has answered the question."

I think people are pointing out that the guy use to make excuses that it was only him n his wife making these so have pity on him...... and that he was investing in his company and making changes n hiring new people...blah blah blah

...and if he was going to farm out production now, why wait years to do it and countless complaints? Remember this has been going on for years ( see initial date on this thread)

That sounds like he is doing it locally, not farming it out to China.

I doubt that he "invested: thousands to buy into a Chinese company.

And this is why people raise the word "scam" as this vendor does not appear to be as honest and ethical as he tries to look.

If he had come out and said "I sent the designs to China and had them made" then people would accept that, but to infer that it is a mom-n-pop shop doing this - and then buying into a company to increase production - is not being completely transparent.

Perhaps the vendor would like to come back here and straighten things out - or not.

keep in mind when he says "invested" he just means he paid them and he's selling at a markup. it's not like he's buying production lines for these. he's agree to a set minimum quantity at a set price from whatever company he's getting them from. cb1111 and i are on the same page, this isn't "investing" he's just a middle-man now

Let’s be honest, would it really matter to you how much detail I give into what went on to get these out and in stock now? Would it really matter to you on where these are built? Would it really matter that I did in fact spend $6,000 for just the mold to the company making these for me? None of this matters to you but, I came back because I said time and time again that I will do all I can to turn things around and make things right from the incorrect that took place in the past. Not to get a pat on the back and I certainly am not trying to offend anyone. I just did what was asked of me. Improve communication, hire someone and get product out. It didn’t happen overnight but it happened and we are in a great place now moving forward and getting products out. Hopefully we can all stop being negative and watch where things go. Have a great Sunday!

By the way, you never addressed the reason why you claimed to order SSO, Hefty, ADV Fiberglass, and TJM products for several different customers and then blamed the manufacturers for the delay- when you never even placed the order. Care to chime in?

and I can't imagine that his dealership or Toyota would be happy with him either.

I know that manufacturers monitor these sites. I'm sure that somebody from Toyota is looking at this and saying "hmmm, do we want this guy representing the brand?"

Off duty behavior affects work too. If he's ever sold any of this stuff while on duty then that is most likely grounds for termination.

If somebody is really pissed off at this guy then they could always point the GM at his dealership to this thread.

As an aside, I'd love to know where you can get (assuming injection) molds made so reasonably. Tooling for anything the company I work for wants to have injection molded starts around $15,000 but is typically northward of $20,000. The parts would have around the same volume material as your bezels and sourced from an overseas company. We could make so much more cool stuff, if our tooling costs were lower.
