Would you look at that, this thread came back from the dead again.
I guess I'll take that as a sign to update everyone on how the product is doing after about 1.5 years installed.
One year in, the passenger side started flickering in and out, eventually it stopped working altogether. The connector between the wiring harness and the light itself becomes extremely corroded, since there is really nothing weatherproof about the setup. After spending WAY too much time scrubbing with dissolved baking soda and a toothbrush, I got it back in working order... for about a month, before the same thing happened again.
I'll give it one more try with the toothbrush, then seal it up with heat-shrink. But I doubt it will last long. It's really hard to get those tiny pins completely clear.
The LED light tubes themselves have become pretty discolored, which is really only noticeable when the lights are off. I wash the car weekly and always do my best to scrub them well, but the brownish color won't budge. When turned on, they are bright enough to shine through just fine.
I think that the quality of the wiring is the biggest issue, I'll be taking them off if the heat shrink can't keep them working properly. It just looks stupid with only one of them working.
However, it was nice to have them as functioning blinkers when I busted my headlight a while back. Kept me street legal.
