Air keeps coming out of vents for several minutes after I turn off ac or heat

This is a very annoying thing I have noticed
I turn off my ac or heat when I get too cold or hot by hitting the off button and the temperature and fan level displays go away but air will keep coming out of my vents at a similar temperature for around 10 minutes and sometimes doesn't stop until I turn the car off
Is there a solution for this? It's really beginning to get on my nerves

Just to double check - did you have this button (2nd button underneath between 2nd/3rd HVAC controls) activated at the time of turning off ac/heat? This button enables the ability to allow outside air enter through the front or disable it where air circulation will only come from inside.

as said above, make sure to hit the fresh air/recirc button.

that is why you still have air flow.

the recirc button OFF(not lit) means fresh air is ON.
you want the light ON, then you wont get the air flow.

^^ is correct

NOT ILLUMINATED: vent is set to open-air, allowing fresh air to enter from OUTSIDE 4R

ILLUMINATED: vent is set to CLOSED-AIR where FRESH AIR is restricted from entering on the outside of 4R. In other words you use air flow that comes directly from your HVAC inside 4R
