Air pressure gauge and air hose quick connect

So I've got a compressor, manifold, tank and bracket on order... I've decided that I'd like to put the air hose quick connect in the rear. still going back and forth on inside or outside, but if I add a pressure gauge, inside is probably the better/easier option.

Anyone have any suggestions for a flush mount gauge and a good quick connect? places to buy? price? pics?

Jangoforhire, what did you end up doing buddy? (BTW I asked Todd to use your truck to investigate a passenger side battery tray.. hope you don't mind).

I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for but Jango ran a flush mount gauge in the back with and inside quick connect. Maybe hit him up on the gauge. I thought he listed it but I may have missed it since I was scanning quickly.

Sorry I forgot about this. Here is the info though:

Gauge: I got mine from GlowShift because I had dealt with them in the past and had no issues. Also their color shift gauges give you good options to match the interior lighting. This is the exact one that I got. One of the color is very close to the interior orange. But I like having the dial backlit white to give some contrast to the orange needle. It looks good.



As for the air lines...this was hit or miss. I ended up getting two of these.

These have the tubing and quick connect that I used. But there is a lot to account for here. The air pressure gauge is 1/8" Male NPT. So you either have to convert that to 1/4" NPT or get a 1/8" NPT push connector. You also have to get a splitter from the compressor to go to your gauge and quick connect. You can do this with a t-fitting and a lot of adapters. But I stumbled upon this.

and it made my life SO much easier. It splits the high pressure plastic tubing that comes in that Viair kit or with an ARB locker, (this is 1/4" tubing by the way). to two outputs.

Also that company (Parker) is the best. They sell all the air connections you will ever need on Amazon and it's all Prime, which means 2.99 next day shipping. And I couldn't find these little compression fit adapters and other little known fittings at any local store.


Any other questions just ask! I will add this info to my build thread soon when I add more pictures of the Compressor.

Thanks for the info and heads up. Got the compressor coming in on Thursday, but the tank got back-ordered; so I can be patient on the bracket

Started designing a front panel (just no switches). What size hole did you drill for the quick connect? I'm planning on putting the gauge above where you have the quick connect. Do you happen to know if there is enough room behind the plastic there? I haven't pulled the top tray yet to check. Did you wire into the taillights or domelight to illuminate the gauge?

If I remember correctly, there is not enough room above the quick connect for the gauge. The gauge I linked is actually really deep. at least 2 inches deep. And once you have the tubing connected you need more room so it won't kink. Maybe you can find an L fitting for the tubing to save some space. There is a picture of the gauge and how much sticks out in my build somewhere. I will look for it soon.

I have a master switch in the rear that activates all the other switches. I tied the illumination for all the switches and gauge into this switch. So once you flip the master, all the other switches light up and the gauge illuminates as well. However the master switch is tied to the dash illumination. This is the one thing I am not happy with. I will change this eventually so it's tied to the hatch being open. That way whenever the hatch opens, that one switch lights up.
