For $90 and 3 hours of my time, this sure was an easy install. There was no need to drill the spring perch for the air line, there are openings on the bottom to route them. Tip- get a coffee mug of hot water to soften the ends of the cut tubeing - much easier to slip onto barbed fittings. Empty with 5lbs , they are hardly noticeable. I will hitch the 3 jetski trailer up this weekend for the first trip to the lake. 140 miles up and over a 4500 ' pass - 12% grade - the grapevine on I-5 in LA. 15 people and 4 skies going.

Well that lasted about 2 hours. I filled the bags up to 30psi and the ride was great. It was 100 degrees out. About 2 hours into the trip I notice I'm sagging. Pulled over and sure enough, no air in the bags. Tried to air back up and heard an obvious leak on the passenger side bag area. This the exhaust side. Will have to crawl under it tonight to see what went wrong. Joy!

i had the airlift on 2 vec's & they always leaked after awhile, imo, the air lines are too thin, kink & split easily, also i dont know if they changed the design but the tiny metal clamps for the lines rust & loose theyre strength. went with firestone the last time, the line quality & connection is much better, so is the design, it goes through the top of the coil on the 4r instead of the bottom where it can kink or snag on something, it also leaked at the T connector.

Mine have been installed for well over a year on my 5th Gen.
I tow my boat at least once per week and have never ever had a leak, not even 1 psi.
I covered the air tubing with electrical split loom anywhere it could come into contact with the body or suspension. You may also want to make sure there is enough slack in the line to allow for full suspension travel.

bag split
i found that the bag on one side split along the horizontal seam. not cut, just split right open. i received the replacement bag from airlift and installed today. this is my 3rd time taking out or installing a bag, so i have it down to about 30 minutes. lets hope this lasts a bit longer. same conditions on the way to the lake tomorrow.

well, nearly 4 years later, these are still a great product. almost time for jet ski trips again, so they will see 30 lbs of air again in a few weeks. around town they keep me from noticing that with 210,000 miles, the XREAS shocks are weak, but still fully functional.

I too had one of my original bags split within a week of install. Airlift replaced and they have been old to go for 4 years...except when "I" pinched the line putting my spare back. Oops...
I just reinstalled them in my new rear coils without issue. Great way to help level the heavy loads.
What's required to install?

Nothing to reinstall. A little soapy warm water helped get them into the new coils. I was able to leave all connections in tact when removing from old springs which made the coil change a little easier.
For the original install you will need a drill, some zip ties, a little elbow grease, plyers, and you're good to go. Some have been able to this without even taking the coils out by letting the suspension go to full droop and stuffing the bag between the coils.
