:first: I really like the little diesel, the 94 T4R is super clean, the Super jeep has got serious balls with the small block 350 so it may have that edge on power, but the pig seems to be my favorite. I really wish the 94 had a more aggressive team, but their patients may prevail.

I love the premis, but find it difficult to believe they are all experienced wheelers. I'm surprised that some teams are not very well prepared. I'm pulling for the clowns in the 1st gen, but they really should have put that rig together better. The 2nd gen 4Runner appears to be best built truck, and I bet it's the most comfortable ride too. I can't wait to see how it goes along.

From reading the pre-release blurbs (and knowing that it's going to be on the History Channel), I can tell you right now that there's going to be a little bit of (stupid) driving and a lot of manufactured drama. If you liked Jersey Housewives or whatever and those stupid tuna boat shows, you'll like this one too.

I'm sure that every single guy featured on the show is probably a very competent wheeler. I'm also sure that a show about competent wheeling is not what the producers have in mind. They're going to make them drive stupid, they're going to make them get in fights with themselves and the other teams, they're going to film it all, edit out all the parts that aren't ridiculous, and then what's left is going to be the show.

I feel for the contestants having the scripted drama rammed down their throats by the producers. That being said, considering a few of those yahoos, some of it might just be natural.

I have thrashed my 85 up some knarly climbs and is's never once come close to over heating.

It's very frustrating to watch, I too wish the 2nd gen's would pick up the pace some. I'm convinced it's the best built rig on the show.
Anyone else notice the lack of lockers? Maybe they are not using them much, but it's crazy to be out there without working lockers.
