Alignment Help !!! : Rubbing tires

So I got my alignment done before getting my new wheel/tire setup, so no hate on the alignment guys because they did a fantastic job the first go round.

Now that I've got my larger wheels and tires on, I'm getting a fair bit of rubbing now.

Wheels: Pro Comp 7069 16x8 (Offset: -12 , Backspace: 4)
Tires: Cooper STT Pro 285/75R16

As you can see, I'm getting rubbing on the edge here. This does worry me as I can trim that plastic off a bit if necessary.

What I'm worried about is vertical articulation of the wheels when off roading. I've got a strong suspicion that I'll still be rubbing it quite a bit on the inside as the wheels tuck in.

Looks like I've already got the caster at:
Front Left: 2.9
Front Right: 2.7

Is it possible to maximize the caster even more to get better clearance ?

I know people upgrade to aftermarket UCA's but I don't have the $$$ for that at the moment.

Suggestions please !!!!

Going back to alignment shop tomorrow to get it fixed, but I need some input on this.

Optimally, what sort of caster settings should I be looking for ?

How much of a lift do you have? My driver's side tire rubs sometimes in that same spot when hitting a hard bump while turning. My front end is lifted about 2.5 inches and I'm running a 265/75R16, your tires are 1.2 inches taller than mine. You can see if the alignment shop can get any more movement on caster, but it won't completely eliminate the rubbing with the stock upper ball joints. They may charge you for another alignment as this is not really their fault, just fyi. My caster is maxed out with the stock upper control arms/ball joints. The only option I have to fix that rubbing is to go with an adjustable upper ball joint. And I'm running shorter tires than you are. I'm going to go with these once I save up some money.

I’m at 3.5° And have Total Chaos control arms. I have the same wheels as you. With -12 offset, it’s not an alignment issue. It’s an angle grinder and bfh issue when running 33s

My rigs got a 3 in lift right now on Bilstein 5100’s with OME springs.

I’m having the alignment shop adjust my caster forward so I get some more clearance.

Looks like I’ll have to be pulling out the BFH and doing the pinch weld mod.

How much would I need to cut off if I were to take the angle grinder to it ?

What is the pinch weld mod?

Grinding, cutting, hammering the pinch weld until your tires don’t rub. Haha

There isn’t a set amount of clearance. The best way is to remove the shock and sway bar link and cycle the suspension with the wheel on

I banged my pinch welds inside to give some more clearance and took a heat gun to my fender liner to mold it slightly better.

Its much better now , but I’ll have to order a 1” body lift for proper clearance.

These STT Pro’s seem to be much more aggressive than i had originally thought. My buddies all run the BFG K02’s without the issues I’m experiencing
