Ok, I didn't really want to start a whole thread but the lift threads really only focus on the parts used and the lift height results.

I've got FJ coils all around. Can I get some feedback on if and how your alignments went. Am I really going to need new UCA's? I'm sure I had read where a majority of folks got theor alignments in spec with this setting but now I can't find where I found that info. Maybe I'm obsessing too much... but thanks to all who share their experiences.

On my 4th gen, I could get camber and toe perfect but caster was just under 2*. It drove ok but was kind of twitchy on the freeway. I drove it like that for quite a while but finally purchased the SPC control arms. I now have the caster about 4.5* and it is worlds better.

One thing that seemed to calm down the twitchyness was going to a wheel with LESS backspacing. The OEM 4th gen wheels have around 5.25" of backspacing. I installed the wheels from my 5th gen that have 4.5" of backspacing and instantly could feel a difference for the better. It also looks better IMHO.

On another note, I have the Camburg UCAs on my 5th gen that is lifted 2.75". Even with the camburgs, I could only get 2.5* of caster when I aligned it but it drives absolutely perfect. Even better than my 4th gen.

I would say lift it, align it, drive it and see how it feels. You can always add the UCAs later (of course you will have to re-align though) if it doesn't feel right. Do you plan on different wheels as well?
