okay so here you go... Tundra Coils withe Tundra 5100's and a Toytec 3/4" top plate spacer.
but I just don't understand the science of how the spring being compressed can lift the truck...
3rd notch with the spacer... i'm thinking a 1/2" spacer would be better no?
Whether your CVs can handle it depends on way too many factors, including how you use your vehicle. The only thing for certain is that they will be more likely to fail than they were before.
I am at #2 on passenger side and #3 on drivers to correct drivers side lean. I have about 2" of rake with my 8 wraps in back. It rides pretty smooth up front and a little stiff in the rear. I am planning to add 1/4 inch spacers next to bring me more level.
What type of lift does the Tundra springs with the 5100's give you vs say stock 4runner springs w/5100's? I am planning on a 3" rear lift.
I understand how the 5100's work...I think after reading this thread.
So the spring compresses when it is moved up on the perch thus allowing more of the rod on the upward movement, since the truck is being pushed upward from the compressed spring. Correct?
