Already have 5100's...

looking to upgrade and get the full 3 in the front 2 in the back (3/2) lift. I've looked extensively and it seems the consensus is the FJ lift... but that uses top plate spacers. I thought spacers were crap? What is the best spring combo for the front and the back that will allow me to utilize the billies (that aren't even 10,000 old), and get the full 3 in the front 2 in the back (don't want to deal with UCA's, break line extensions)?

TIA

You won't "need" UCAs for a 3" lift in the front but aftermarket UCAs will help it drive and align so much better. I run the 5100s (at 1.75" setting- 3rd notch from the bottom) with FJ springs and that lifted my 4runner 2.5". Plus it rides so much better. With my set up, I couldn't get much caster (which helps you stay in a straight line) until I installed some aftermarket UCAs. I'm guessing using FJ springs and 5100s at the top notch should easily get you 3".

Put the 5100's at the lowest setting and get OME springs at all four corners. That's the best way to go. 5100's are great shocks, all you need is springs for height. I'm thinking about going this same route. Either that or toytec ebiach springs at .85 in the front.
