Alternator pigtail wire locations

Hey yall, accidentally stripped my pigtail while swapping the alternator in my 4R. Im hoping someone could send me a photo of theirs so I can see where the wire go(just to be sure) i can kinda guess where they went based off the angle of how theyre bent, but its better knowing.

Mines an 04 V8, thanks yalls!

Connector G2 (green) for the ‘generator’ aka alternator. P/N of connector 90980-11964

Looking at (into the, not the back end) connector top is pin 1 and 2, bottom is 3 and 4.

Pin 1 – White – 7.5 amp Alt-S Fuse
Pin 1 – White – 140 amp fuse just before 7.5 amp-s fuse (diagram doesn’t show a pin 2) odd.
Pin 2 – Yellow w/ red stripe – 15 amp Ignition Fuse
Pin 4 – grey – body ECU and also splits to 7.5 amp gage fuse

Did yours have 3 or 4 wires on the plug? Currently troubleshooting some electrical issues in another thread. Showing 13.6+v but battery light keeps popping up (no problems starting or keeping battery charged), but my alternator plug only has 3 wires coming out of it. Seeing conflicting diagrams, some show that I should have a 4th wire that goes to the ECU, others appear that 3 is the norm. Looks like you have an 04 v8 as well.

Have you been able to find the culprit of your issue?
I have the same issue on my 04 V8 as well.

I replaced my alternator in March 2025 and discovered 2 of the alternator wires were spliced together. Been a smooth. There was no battery error warning on the dash until this week. With snow and puddles hitting the road, the alternator started not charging with the battery light. I separated those two wires and the battery light popped up. But still charged at 14V on the alternator B+ post and 13.8V at the battery. When I tried to properly insulate the wires by unplugging and bending down the loom, water dripped from inside the sleeve. I wonder if there's any corrosion from road salt inside it which shorts the thin wires.
Does anyone have a circuit diagram or know where is the other end of the alternator plug wires (ALT-S, IG, L, etc?). I would love to check continuity with a multimeter as well.

I've been digging into this topic since I have to replace my melted alternator plug on my '08 V8 2UZ-FE. My original alternator had been getting soaked by a coolant leak at the water pump inlet which resulted in the alternator shorting out and causing a small fire.

I replaced the alternator with a Denso reman and wired up a new plug. It has a 4 wire pigtail, but only 3 wires are utilized (Pins 1,2,4)

Also found that the 7.5A ALT-S Fuse was blown.
