Am I the only one who HATES vibrations and rattles?

I'm the Same. My wife basically says I LOOK and HEAR for rattles. It's probably true. ONce I hear one, I basically focus myself onto that rattle and start listening for me. Call it a flaw in my personality! It doesn't matter if it's my 07 T4R or my Honda Accord or a friends car, I can hear rattles..EVERY car has them. I guess I should be a Quality Assurance Guy at Toyota...I guarantee they would be 100% Ratttle free because it's my biggest pet peeve!
Back off with Jeep bashing! It's unfair.
I personally don't have a jeep but it's my dream to have a CJ5 or CJ2-A...
Anywho, back on topic. New strange sound makes me go crazy, but usually I get used to them. When they dissapear however, we usually have a problem, a big problem. Hah.

Yea it drives me up the wall also, my wife thinks I look for rattles and the 4R is a rattle trap. I have been to the dealer three times to fix a rattle in the roof and a creaking sound from the windshield and none of them are still fixed. I guess 30000 car is not what it use to be... in my opinion any car over that price should be rock solid. It is one of the reason I bought a Toyota. I was telling my buddy next I am going to buy a ford because at least then I will have an excuse what the truck rattles...

I'm not Jeep bashing. They are just rattly. That's a fact. That isn't to say that they aren't incredibly versatile and cool looking vehicles, because they are. But I have owned a few Chrysler/Jeep products in my life and they have all been full of rattles. Fun.... but rattled a lot.

I hate rattles too, but that's just one thing that I love about 4Runner....no rattles to speak of after 3+ years of ownership! Still solid as the day I drove it off the lot....

I have very few, and when I get a rattle its usually because of something I took apart to work on :/
I think Jeeps are GREAT looking, and I would love an old one, but never their cherokee or anything ewwwwww
anyways, it just happened to me the other day, and my friends dad looked at me like i was crazy cuz i pulled over and moved something in my center console so it would stop rattling lol
i was so annoyed i almost threw my transpod out the window!

rattles don't bother me as much as steering wheel vibration. I got my tires rotated and balanced for the first time since I bought the truck, two weeks ago. Ever since then, I felt something didn't feel right especially at highway speeds. I knew they *&%#ed up on balancing my tires. So I took it back to another America Tires and they fixed it within 20 mins. Now it rides smooth as butter.
I guess the first shop didn't use the Hunter Machine to balance my tires.

My '90 is by far the most rattle-free vehicle I've ever owned.
My '93 MR2 is a different story. Four rattles, two I know what's causing them and just haven't gotten to fix and two which are still mysteries.
When I'm riding with my wife and ask her to pinpoint where the rattle is coming from, she points to someplace completely different.
Just an annoying as rattles are wind noises, when all windows are rolled up tight. My MR2 has one of those too.
A buddy of mine has a CJ5. It rattles so much it makes you laugh.

my 97 corolla rattles everywhere... but its an economy car so i deal with it. the 4runner is a world of a difference... no rattles, squeaks, absolutely nothing! so much more comfortable to drive around in.

Driving a vehicle like this helps one develop the ability to just block out these noises.
For commuting around town and to work my VW gets the job done. Also does not hurt that it gets 2X the MPG of my 4Runner.
I too have noticed a world of difference with my 4Runner. No squeaks, no rattles, nothing.
More comfortable to drive which is why my 4Runner is my long distance cruiser when comfort is a priority.

Yeah man, unfortunately I think you are in the minority on this one...bad luck I guess...It happens....Trust me...I have had my share of bad luck buying new vehicles...
Too early to tell with my 08...so far so good...
To be honest I think it is impossible to build a vehicle that will not rattle eventually...kinda sucks that it happened so soon for you...
