Oh, yeah? I'm 66 years young, and remember doing punch cards for Fortran programming in '65, Teletype input to paper tape (PDP-9) in '74, assembly language (hand "compiled" into machine code) on home-brew Z80 (thanks Byte magazine) in '76. Almost as primitive as my rusty '63 Wagoneer with the Tornado engine. Ahhh, the good old days!

Well if it makes you feel any better, I'm waiting to order a 12', and am 20. Last summer a friend got a Black SR5 10' right when they were released at 20 also.

Sounds like Toyota should cast some of you in their next commercial for the 4runner.
Like what they are currently airing for the Venza, where the middle age kids are talking about their "old" parents, while the "old folks" are out living it up.
That would be cool, get some footage of you all in your TE tearing it up off road.

Older than most of you.
All the previous Post make me smile, remembering things that I thought I would never forget. I'm in a 2010 Limited, needed something to carry an Electric Lift and Scooter. Either a Pickup or a SUV. I chose the Pickup, Grouch choose the SUV.
Been a Toyota Owner since 1976. A Hilux I think it was called. Been with them with a Pickup and/or an Auto since.
I will be 77 years of age the coming December. Life has been a blast, especially the one's that blow your body parts away.
Enjoying my 4Runner.

On Sunday I'll become a T4R owner for the first time at age 57. I fly in to Seattle and pick up a red 2011 TE with Dura Tracs already installed, and can't wait! This will be my 4th new 4WD, all red: two Jeeps, a Bronco and now a T4R.
BTW, my first MOS in the Army (early 70's) was as a computer and keypunch operator . . . anyone see any connection to wheelin' and computin'?

Great responses, folks, although I didn't see the nerd-fest coming when I posted.
Sure glad to see a bunch of us are in no hurry to be driving to Bingo in some pisspot with one turn signal endlessly blinking.
I'm aiming for what a friend calls "compressed morbidity", which means you stay active and healthy and have fun for as long as you can, then go out fast.
