The same way that Trump condemns white supremacist groups but many klan members support him?

Missed it by that much!

You love to bring this back to Trump for some reason...let me help you out my lib friend.

The difference is Trump DOES publicly condemn white supremacists while BLM leaders do NOT condemn its own members chanting publicly for violence against law enforcement officers.

Says who? You?

Sorry the Trump analogy rubs you the wrong way?

Hint, there is a connection.

Let me try to understand just who "their people" are. Would that be black people or US Army people?

yes. any and all. I didn't say anything about black people.
anyone that is associated with them, and their cause. all of them.

You know you have a good platform when you start attacking someones grammatical corrections. And thanks again for the solid counter of then calling me close minded. So any logical discussion would be appreciated and promote this thread as a whole. So continue on with the personal attacks as you delineate from the topic at hand. Sorry facts are hard, but heres a participation trophy as I'm sure you are into those
:third:

You are close minded and divisive, you also added an entire paragraph to your original post which was much longer than your original paragraph; so much for grammar corrections. Logic requires the ability to be fair and impartial as well as open minded. Your logic is self serving, thanks for the trophy, it's a childish attempt.

what exactly are you saying here?

is it because you think they are in fear of being shot by police? or just in general, because you are not one?
I am merely saying that I cannot walk in a black-man's shoes or he in mine. Meaning, we are all shaped by our life experiences with means we can judge but could be wrong.

Thought provoking, perhaps too academic for some.

PLOS ONE: A Multi-Level Bayesian Analysis of Racial Bias in Police Shootings at the County-Level in the United States, 2011?2014

"The results provide evidence of a significant bias in the killing of unarmed black Americans relative to unarmed white Americans, in that the probability of being {black, unarmed, and shot by police} is about 3.49 times the probability of being {white, unarmed, and shot by police} on average. Furthermore, the results of multi-level modeling show that there exists significant heterogeneity across counties in the extent of racial bias in police shootings, with some counties showing relative risk ratios of 20 to 1 or more. Finally, analysis of police shooting data as a function of county-level predictors suggests that racial bias in police shootings is most likely to emerge in police departments in larger metropolitan counties with low median incomes and a sizable portion of black residents, especially when there is high financial inequality in that county. There is no relationship between county-level racial bias in police shootings and crime rates (even race-specific crime rates), meaning that the racial bias observed in police shootings in this data set is not explainable as a response to local-level crime rates."

Your source will be discredited and swept aside..........many folks don't want to acknowledge that this may even have credence. The Dallas police killings are a race(hate) crime, the killing of the three people by police last week are likely the use of excessive force. Neither of these events justify the others but they are intertwined. Let's hope that justice is served for everyone. Worth noting also, the USA's first robot(drone) killing of a citizen on US soil that i am aware of.

BLM has condemned this violence FYI. They're not the enemy.

The problem is that there is no BLM leadership to condemn anything. You are just as much BLM as the who supposedly condemned the violence.

BLM has no leadership, no rosters, no agenda, no clear goals, no clear demands, no mission. It is just an anti police mob and anyone who thinks otherwise is being tricked. They could go interview a homeless guy on the street and if he says "yeah I support BLM" then the media reports it as an interview with BLM.

It's all meaningless, just a misguided mob of frustrated people with no clear direction. If they were smart they would be protesting at the state capitol but instead they are at the worst committing violence including murder against police and in other cities like Oakland they are "peacefully blocking the freeway and peacefully throwing rocks at police headquarters" (sarcasm).

Things like this make me sad because I can see how it could progress into a full blown race war. A race war that could have been avoided many years ago.

How? Seriously, I would love to know what you think would have turned this course around.
On another note, I am to the point that I just want to bury my head in the sand and let the youngsters figure this one out. I'll gladly pay my taxes but just leave me out of this... election, racial problems, white privilege, globalist versus isolationism and everything else.

Sure, I could opine here but what good does that do? Nothing. Not a damn thing. I could go to a rally. Again, nothing. I could protest. Again, it does no good. All I have to work with is my one vote for each category of politician and hope it is the right vote for the good of our county, state and country. Really makes me want to build a cabin in the woods and never come out again.

Divisive platforms & politics, corruption & lack of accountability for ones' actions of elected and appointed officials.......hard to fight without major sacrifice and we may well be too late to fix the system without a complete overhaul and a ton of loss.

Seriously? You actually believe that BLM wanted this and condone it? I respect your opinion but that does not compute logically for me but I truly only see this from a media perspective as I live way North.

You actually believe that BLM wanted this and condone it?

You are seriously misinterpreting what I said.

But I will clarify for you ... BLM is now (IMO since the NYC LEO killings) an anti police mob. When you join them locally it is about expressing frustration, anger and fear against the police. Sadly someone took it so far as mass murder (attempting to murder 11 and killing 4 instead), causing the worst loss of police life since 9/11.

The reason I call BLM a mob is because:
* BLM has no leadership
* No personnel rosters or membership list
* No unified agenda
* No clear goals
* No clear demands
* No defined mission

It is just an anti police mob.

they are racist/hate crimes? that is a bold statement.

as is the fact of excessive force. im not sure you would feel the same, had it been you there, wrestling with that beast.

here is something to think about..

The problem, as I see it, is that we are not Americans first. We are not united as a country. We define ourselves as Democrat, Republican, Independent, Black, White, Hispanic, Rich, Poor, etc... Everything is "Us vs. Them" with little to no respect given to anyone not on "our" team. Dissenting opinions are shouted down with childish insults at worst or flippant disregard at best. It is almost treasonous to actually stop and think about the opposing view and where that sentiment comes from, to give "the enemy" any consideration or empathy.

This thread started out so well with this idea. Then quickly devolved into this being BlackLivesMatter's fault, stupid liberals and their communist news networks, etc. Just waiting on someone to tell me my opinion doesn't matter because I'm Canadian.

If it was not a hate crime then what was it, I stand behind my opinion but I never need to ram it down your throat or pigeon hole you so I can go on ;). BTW, not suggesting that "you" do that, seriously.

It's ok to admit to fear......but that should not be a justification to execute.

Will check it out but it could just be spin.....we just lap that up don't we when it fits our narrative. The two officers that took the life of "the beast" did have body cams but they both stopped working at the that time.

You can't take the actions of few and magically make them into what you think their mission statement is.

Trump does not organize, fund, promote or associate with the KKK.

Whereas BLM is directly involved in the organizing of protest and perpetuation of lies used to incite violence. A public statement of condemnation is nothing more than lip service.

Well at least we are much more respectful than Facebook. I think you guys often bring up for points. About being Canadian ... do you guys have the same kind of racial problems as the US? Any racial problems?

You say they have no agenda but you label them an anti police mob and assert they should protest at state capitals which reads to me you think they do have an agenda or goal?

There is a clear reason this movement exists and its unchecked police violence. You can be both pro police anti violence and want police to be held accountable for their ever growing problems.

The off road truck forum full of Trump voters will dismiss this study bc it doesn't fit their "black people bad police good" narrative.

I find that easy to believe.
