America this week, what the hell?

EDIT: I just quoted you twice, because apparently I can't add on to an initial post as that is seen as divisive.

See how ridiculous this makes your "argument" look.

Truly if we used more logic(read FACTS) it would override judgement and thus we wouldn't have any more confusion, but as we know that will never happen because we must be "fair" and "open minded". . . .sorry I feel like tough love works better. Skating through life thinking you can do no wrong and as long as its your life experience and you can justify any action. This doesn't make it right. Makes you in fact numb to reality and consequences and avoiding responsibility and facts for self serving reason.
don't trip, you'll likely fall on your head. Seriously.

And there we go. Law enforcement had it coming.

Thanks for confirming what we all knew you were thinking.

Truly disgusting.

I didn't say that nor would I ever. Curious what group you're speaking for, wait - actually I don't care.

You can point out unchecked police violence will have ramifications without justifying or validating those ramifications. So disgust me off, Jed.

yep, keep hiding behind "grammar corrections", say it enough, you will even believe it.....as for your questions, I already answered but you likely missed it. Keep it closed, it got you this far.

Speaking of grammar corrections I think you mean THUS. Here let me help YOU now. You can't even do that whole practice what your preach thing. Life is hard isn't it.:withstupid:

But thanks for also ignoring all the other relevancy in that post.

Can you provide a source for the BLM's direct involvement and lies that are inciting specific violence or is this just something Stacy Dash told you?

what about anything positive from the BLM? again, this may be a media issue, but ive seen nothing positive come from that group. neither their agenda, or results.

just a side note, I truly hate calling them BLM. that to me is, and always will be the Bureau of Land Management. though, they themselves had been connected with some pretty shady activity...

Wow. Having a bad day?

Isn't BLM a great example of how everyday people can make a difference? They have certainly been successful in bringing the issue to attention and creating debate all over the country. Which could quite possibly succeed at creating real policy or social reform.
People complain about them shutting down bridges ,or interstates, or whatever and how inconvenient it is. But isn't that the point? Protests are meant to be inconvenient. To force people to notice and pay attention to the issue at hand. Had they not done such things a lot of people probably never would have heard of this group.

I realize we all only have the ability to affect change among a small group of people, those around us and whom we have regular contact with, but shouldn't we still try to do that? To make our own small part of the world a little bit better and more informed? If the good, intelligent people of the world all stopped trying to make it a better place we would be in real trouble. One person may not be able to affect policy change, but what they can do is affect those around them and as a group they suddenly have more power.

I see where you are coming from but I also know that burying our collective heads in the sand is not going to help the situation either.
Those guys are not an individual. Re read my post.

To advocate for dignity, justice, respect, accountability, transparency, better policing is not a positive agenda to you?

No, he legitimately is somehow surprised EVERY time(or ignores it), but then he just turns to a different argument. He truly has mastered the Circular rant. :lalala:

That link in no way proves me wrong.

My request was simple, provide proof of a proven direct link between the BLM and a specific act of violence towards police. If you cannot, man up and say so. Not sure how circular that is.

Do some black people perpetuate their own negative stereotypes? Absolutely. Do some white people also perpetuate their own negative stereotypes? God damn they sure do.

Those guys are not an individual. Re read my post.

Right, but my point was that they were individuals who stood up together to try to affect change. They weren't 'leaders' of an organization or millionaires.

If you want to get technical I guess no 'one person' has ever changed national policy based solely on their individual desire or wants. Only by working together with other individuals with similar interests. I interpreted the tone of your post to mean that its useless for us to try, more than no single individual has the power to change policy. Your statement that you wanted to go bury your head in the sand seemed more like the former than the latter.

Libs are TOLD what to think; they don't think for themselves.

If a flaw in their logic is pointed out, they can't incorporate this new information and possibly come to a new conclusion. They can't because they never applied reason to arrive at their position in the first place.

All they can do is stick their fingers in their ears and run around shouting "I'm not listening! I'm not listening!"

if not a hate crime, then it was the LEO's doing their jobs. im not sure where "hate crime" even came from.

The assination of the Dallas LEOS is a hate crime....the perp was pro "Black Power" as is now being reported.

wait now, before you said excessive force. now its execute.

based on what I have read and the videos I have watched on the police shootings, they would be justified. I don't see excessive force, and I don't see executions. fear? yes most likely. that would be a reasonable conclusion for anyone in that situation.

yes, it may just be a spin, but its very interesting. and IF that is the case, it explains a bit more why things went down the way they did. though, for ME, I don't need that extra explanation. putting myself in their shoes, I may very well have responding in exactly the same way.

as far as the body cams, where/how do they attach? they struggled with that guy for a bit, its very likely they were dislodged or damaged in the altercation. that is not unreasonable.

If you think those shooting are justified as well as the shooting of a white unarmed teen in Cali were justified, then we cannot agree. A policeman cannot be judge, jury and executioner and if a civilian is killed then the killing must be investigated by an truly independent source. Policemen have to be held to a higher standard as they have the law on their side. You referred to the first black man killed this week as a "beast" before I commented on "execute"........what do you mean? All big black men should be met with deadly force so you can survive an encounter? Get my point? Likely not.

Speaking of the US vs THEM mentality we all agreed was so problematic at the beginning of this thread.....

Seriously, is this the only way you can wrap your mind around something different?

Hello!? OK I am done with your posts......as I am wasting both of our time, lol.

um, isn't that illegal?
they are protesting supposed illegal behavior by law enforcement, by doing illegal things themselves? makes sense...

To advocate for dignity, justice, respect, accountability, transparency, better policing is not a positive agenda to you?
so, like burning down their own city?
how is that action in any way positive? how does that action equivocate their supposed agenda?

ok, let me ask it again, differently and more directly. what positive outcome has there been from any black lives matter activity?

I haven't read about the white kid, so no comment there.
and yes, for the others. so far, based on the info I have seen, I would conclude they were justified.

you said excessive force. I said I doubt you would be thinking that, had it been you involved with him. yes I said beast, have you seen the guy? he was huge. I have no idea how big you are, but he was about 2x my size. 2 people my size would have a VERY difficult time subduing him. then you bring in the fact he is resisting heavily, and has a gun, and is attempting to grab it, and also the tazer, absolutely without question I use deadly force, or ANY other means to survive that encounter. we aren't talking about ALL big black men, we are talking about a very specific one. don't try going down a path of discussion that is not relevant here.

in no way would I consider that an execution, NOR excessive force. and my stance is, that if YOU were one of those cops, you wouldn't think so either. I thought I made that point pretty clear the first time.

ok, let me ask it again, differently and more directly. what positive outcome has there been from any black lives matter activity?

Well the obvious effects are violence against the police and The Ferguson Effect.

Oh wait, you meant what positive effect? .... none so far.

Do you think it's specifically the social activists and organizers out there causing destruction? I would hope not. Would you blame the Pittsburgh Penguins team for a few of their fans flipping cars or burning shit?

The positive outcome is bringing the topic of police brutality to the front page.

It's super easy to diminsh systematic racism and discrimination if you have never and will never be a victim of it.
