Not war crimes. Doing what they had to do to keep themselves alive. If you are going to send men and women to war then they need to be able to try and keep themselves alive.
But ndcent if you can't stand behind the American military please feel free to stand in front of them.

I'm not interested in getting into some silly argument involving some round about way federal dollars fund abortion.
I asked you a very simple question, and you didn't answer it.
Would you rather pay for birth control, or abortions and welfare?
It NEEDS to shrink in manpower! We have better weapons systems than anyone on the planet. We don't need a million grunts anymore.
Obama did NO SUCH THING! The president doesn't bring military members up on charges any more than the Pope does. Maintaining discipline is the single most important thing military leadership has to do, and when someone violates orders you charge their ass! Not doing so is what brings down moral. When you've got someone in your unit that's out committing cold blooded murder and getting away with it, the guys who do have some morals aren't going to get on board. And that applies to ever rank from a Private to a General. It also feeds into enemy propaganda and makes the locals more likely to turn against you. You honestly have no idea how the military works, and you'd be better off to stop commenting on it.
Being in uniform in a combat zone doesn't give you the right to commit murder, and if you do it you'll be charged.

He killed 17 unarmed civilians, most of them women and children. He ought to hang for it.

No that was not the incident. And yes he needed to be charged. This was an incident where there was press imbedded with a group of soldiers. And cameras only tell so much

Oh, and FYI, defense spending has increased through most of the Obama's presidency, and is WELL above the level it was at when he took office.

As to abortion I would like to pay for none of it. Actions have consequences. And it took a generation to ignore that. So it will take a generation to reinforce it again.
Your correct the president doesn't do that. He has people whisper in the ear of other people to get stuff done. But then again yes he does get directly involved with law enforcement. Advocating for the federalization of police at press conferences. Making a officer who did the correct thing and a black university professor meet with him at the "beer summit" to make everything ok. That justice system correct. I forgot that's what the executive branch did.
And as for maintain moral and discipline why would every piece of brass that didn't agree with the current administration policies has "retired". Been forced out. That is a super good way to maintain moral and discipline. There is a difference between ruling with respect and ruling with fear. How did that work out for other world leaders. Both past and present.
And then the whole bergdhal debacle. Let's see we have a deserter that abandoned his post. Put many many solders lives in danger because they assumed he had been captured and went out to look for him. We then traded high ranking members of the enemy for him. Some of them have already been caught fighting is again. Then the administration couldn't stop commenting on the situation until they realized that it was a case the the ucmj not the president.
Or the SCOTUS said you could serve openly and Obama. Yes Obama issued a statement and said they couldn't do that. So he immediately said gays could serve openly. Just for the fact that he could say he did it? I can't see another reason for that action. He is a grand stander and all for him guy.
