Without doing any extensive research on this , I actually believe it to be true instinctively.

The thought of DHS/Fed gov having this authority over the elections should send a chill down the spine of every American...

This year, taxpayers will cover about 70 percent of what is spent on health care in California, according to a new analysis released Wednesday by the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research.
Many people assume that the U.S. health care system is primarily supported by private dollars, such as insurance premiums from employer-based coverage, said Gerald Kominski, director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and the study’s lead author.
But that’s no longer the case, at least in California — mostly because of its massive expansion of Medi-Cal, the state’s version of Medicaid, he said.
“There’s this myth that we have a mostly privately funded health care system, but we’re approaching a point in which almost three quarters of this system is funded by public money,” Kominski said. “Now a question to ask ourselves is: when do we reach the tipping point and say ‘this is essentially a public system?’”

Is this a bad thing? seems there is a lot of demand for public insurance. They also point out that 12% of that 70 is actually government subsidies of private insurance programs:
They also suggest that nationwide that number may be close to 65%
And it points out that this might be a good indicator that a single payer system is actually feasible.

Too bad you got banned, I liked you in the 3rd gen section but dont agree with your politics. That's why I dont come in here often, I'm here to talk 4Runners not politics This site is an escape from the real world & just enjoy my hobby.
BUT, 4 Casinos in Atlantic City have gone under. It's not his fault, it's the citys fault for not being able to attract visitors & other casinos opening in NY, PA & CT. Why drive down 3hrs (without Jersey shore traffic) from NYC when you can go up to Mohegan Sun in CT in 1.5hrs.

I'm aware and was completely against this CA expansion. The middle class goes bankrupt paying for healthcare while the already poor and those here illegally get free healthcare.

The Canucks should be hoping and praying that America doesn't make the mistake of a single payer health care system.
High quality health care in America provides those Eskimos to the north a relief valve for them to access health care in a timely manner.
Without ol' Uncle Sam providing cover for Canada (yet again!), the lineups for basic health services in Canuckistan would be even longer.

“The most you can expect in a free society is for government to make an attempt at protecting rights, not to try to re-distribute wealth. If you do that – all people will lose their rights,” he asserted.
This is fact almost no one understands. They are a bunch of children who see Government as Santa Clause.
