I don't actually see that as a plausible scenario. I think it's more of a tinfoil hat deal. We hear all this stuff about robots but now the people that were all for these robots are warning that it may not be a good idea after all. Now it's just big corporations they seem to be for it as a way to get better profits.

People like to deal with other people. Ever call in to a call center and have to press 5-10 keys to talk to a real person. Get frustrated because you would be done with your call by now if a real person had just answered from the start.

Some stores are doing away with the self checkout because people choose to use a person instead of a computer to ring up their groceries. I for one skip self check when ever possible. I would rather endorse keeping a person employed vs a computer to replace them.
My endorsement is irrelevant, I am irrelevant, only to myself.

I see so many comment on how the evil companies are only about money and not people. Well by endorsing the takeover of jobs by robots you are in effect endorsing the companies to fire people and only worry about profits.

Unless you think the next step in society is going to be like StarTrek where we just walk up to a computer and tell it what we want and then it just shows up.

that is where I believe society evolving. very soon you won`t be able to find person answering phone. we don`t like it but it is what it is.

If so you are endorsing the premature deaths of American children. 3rd trimester is viable as a child. May take some time in the toaster at the hospital but the child will live a very high percentage of the time.

How long do you think it will actually take to get theses farms up and running again. Equipment has been sitting or sold. Fields need to be tended constantly to produce good results.

The fact that we have all our eggs in one basket says at the very least if something happens in California we will be hurting very very bad for a minimum of one year. After all it takes 9 months for a harder cycle in all reality. Till the fields, wait till weather to plant, grow crops, wait till harvest, process them, sell them.

As someone who lives with a national healthcare system I can assure you that people dont decide to smoke here based on the fact they know they can see a doctor for free. I'm not any less concerned about cancer, or any other disease, because I know I'll get free care if I get it.

nope, its just based on how things are currently going. with the other programs people use/abuse. and how in general our government creates a society of takers. I don't see a government sponsored/supplied healthcare system suddenly being any different.

I'd actually agree. A big telling point for me is the color palate a site chooses. If I open a page and all of its colors are either red or blue, it's pretty telling which market they are pandering to.

Ok if you opened the Google links you would have found countless links saying that it the woman's choice of when to have one. Former DNC chairwoman Shultz said she supported abortion up until the moment of birth. Yes she's former but was fired for an email scandal not her view on abortion and she was the chairwoman of the party so her views should be fairly well inline. Also the links in the kitschy Google that for you also unequivocally said it was the woman's right to choose. Not the mans or the man and woman's right to choose. Just the woman's right.
