the newer ford focus' were tested with taxi co's and they routinely put 400k on them with zero problems. Cummins is an American co, but not a dodge, and they have their problems too. Ford is the only one of the big three that designs and manufactures their own diesels.

statistics also show that full sized trucks are the longest lasting vehicles, Ford f250 being #1. But as a whole co, I think it was Subaru that holds the top spot, followed by Toyota.

I'd love it if American auto makers could produce something that lasted, was easy to maintain/work on yourself, had a nice interior and had good resale value- but they just don't.

The United Auto Workers Union killed American cars/trucks.

Toyota. I've owned all sorts of vehicles and Toyota's are the best. Lexus is a tad better, but I prefer ruggedness over luxury.

I'm sure I am preaching to the choir here, but I put TONS of miles on my vehicles and always have- nothing has performed like the 'yota's I've had. Not even close. Resale value is great. Easy to work on. They go and go and go.

Subaru's are good to go as well, I just don't like them, too much pussified shit and not enough engine and clearance. No body on frame. Pass...
