An Official T4R Instagram: A Burden or an Asset?

I don't believe this topic has been spoken of much, but, being semi-new to the forum I could be wrong. Anyway, I was thinking that T4R having its own Instagram account would be a good way of sharing quality 4Runner photos with those on the go. It's also a good method of cross-promotion, because it can direct traffic to the site that would be missing out otherwise. I know running a large Instagram account is a good ammount of work (having ran an account with 5000+ followers single-handedly), so whoever would be running it would need to be pretty dedicated. I figured the best way to go about possibly getting one created was to get some discussion started here.

That could be interesting. Once a week that person in charge could post a "mod of the week" or "Photo of the week". It would be a good way for people that aren't that active on the forum to view what has happened that week.

Good idea. I've been using the hashtag #T4R for awhile. A dedicated account could be cool.

Instagram is owned by Facebook, who are almost as evil as Google in terms of how they abuse their access to your personal information. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole, myself.

Yeah, I agree with you about all of the data-mining that websites like Google and Facebook do. It's a pretty scary thought... But at this point I have nearly every account type under the sun (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Photobucket, etc.), so I'm already screwed anyways. :keyboard::noidea:
