Android audio player for 2016 T4R bluetooth?

I'm switching from a Blackberry Z-30 to a Blackberry DTEK50 and trying to find an Android music/audio player that will give me the same/better functionality on the T4R Bluetooth that I was getting with the Blackberry native music player.

I've tried three Android apps so far, with varying levels of success, but nothing yet will display my song/track titles on the dash screen.

Any recommendations?

Thanks, I'll check out Android Auto, but I thought neither Android Auto or Apple Car Play were supported, only Entune, and sadly, being in Canada, we are not considered worthy of Entune...

I may just load up a low profile "plug and stay" USB stick and leave it in the USB jack under the rubber cover. That brings up a new question, where does one obtain an updated Gracenote database? I see updating is as simple as inserting a USB stick with the Gracenote database and selecting "update", but I can't find the database online.

Google released Android Auto to work on the actual phone. Vehicle stereo no longer necessary. You would connect to vehicle thru Bluetooth or Aux cord. The update does not work on all phones. It does work on my Samsung S7.

+1 on this tip. See Android Auto App Updated to Provide Standalone Experience | Droid Life for details on the update to standalone version. Can be tricky to install (see below) but worth the hassle. I use AA through a Pioneer head unit on my daily driver and now as standalone in borrowed or rental cars - really appreciate the standalone option.

Initially the upgrade would not work on my Samsung S5 Active, produced an error message stating "Something went wrong, Google Play services doesn't seem to be working right now." Went through the process discussed on the google forum thread, and success (i.e., uninstall all Google Play Services updates and clear all cache data); success.

Another great option for music to work through bluetooth is Amazon prime music app. It works great on my '14 tep, by Bluetooth. Shows song and artist information plus if you have amazon prime the music is free for the first month than about 7.99 a month for unlimited downloads and unlimited access. I currently have an android and it works great! Hope this helps. Oh and the great thing is you can download it to your phone so you can listen to your music offline while off roading... i am currently at 1234 songs downloaded and building and still able to play offline
