Also getting all sorts of crazy pop ups the last couple days (ONLY on T4R.org). iPhone / Safari and having “block pop ups” enabled in Safari settings didn’t do shit. I installed Ad-Blocker Pro (free app) earlier today and haven’t seen a single pop up since. I couldn’t go more than a couple minutes before getting a pop up prior to doing that.

This site is a joke lately. The recent UI changes are incredibly frustrating, and the "admin" user seems to all of a sudden be only interested in cashing out.

I have been, and will continue to decrease my rate of visitation as this nonsense continues.

Try using the Brave internet browser for IOS. It’s shoots down trackers, ads, location requests, malware, JavaScript attacks (like what your experiencing). Future iterations of the browser should enable a feature that will award cryptocurrency for choosing to view ads, etc.

Yes, I get this “You won a prize” pop up on my iPad every other thread I click it seems like. Some spam got loaded on the forum server it seems. Just started over the last few days.

With all due respect, I disagree. This is a very important issue, and deserves more attention than the rarely visited "General Discussion" sub-forum can provide. This forum is nothing without its members, and we deserve complete transparency into the substantial change of direction to the forum.

Yup same here. I even have tracker blocker and it still does it. That is some advance shit!

I think that this forum is not as clean after the reboot.

I’m not getting that particular pop-up on my IPad, even more irritating is the damn Faceboob, twatter and whatever the other one is logos that pop up dead center of EVERY photo on this site. It pretty much ruins the site for me.

While it may help, why does one need to have it to surf this forum??

I have Disconnect tracker blocker and these redirect still happens.

I understand that this is a free forum and that we should be happy with anything (as you have argued repeatedly in past), but don’t forget that data is being collected from users (trackers galore!) along with kickbacks from people here buying from sponsored sellers and of course from sellers on this site.

I also understand that it is a “process” to get the forum back to good form after hacking episode.

But i don’t think that it should be REQUIRED to have extra software installed on our devices just because this site has spamware/malware.

I hope that things keep improving.......but being redirected is not cool.

uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus are good. Help block the nonsense until it's fixed. In general it's smart to have adblock.

I'm not going to disagree with you on the importance of this issue. I will disagree on the location to discuss the issue though.

Simply put, this is NOT a 3rd Gen issue. I come to the 3rd Gen section for 3rd Gen related issues not SPAM issues. This also seems like an issue that's affecting certain people, and is NOT a site wide issue. You can look at the other threads that are scattered across the forum to see the exact same thing. Having multiple threads for the exact same thing is nothing more the clutter. When someone asks about lifts, wheels, tires, bumpers, and so on. Instead of answers we try to direct members to specific threads, and ask them to try searching before starting a new thread. All of this is to help keep clutter down.

By no means am I trying to be the forum police here. But, there's a reason why forums ask you to post certain topics in specific areas.

This. The purpose of this thread is to discuss non-3rd gen related spam ads. I find that it's incredibly applicable to this subforum's subject matter.

As I said earlier. I'm NOT disagreeing the importance of this issue, and that's typed in my last post. I'm only disagreeing with the location of the post. I never said this thread was SPAM so please go back and re-read what I typed. The topic that you're discussing, and posting about is related to pop-ups. In some cases pop-ups are classified as SPAM depending on their content.

In the simplest terms possible. This is not a 3rd Gen topic, period, and no one can argue that. I harp on members about using this forum correctly all the time. That includes searching for topics, and posting in the correct location.

I'm sure someone else will comment back to me on this, and that's fine. My opinion will not change, and I will continue to stand behind this thread being in the wrong sub-forum. This is my opinion, and I have never said that your opinion or anyone else who posted is not correct. I've only stated that I didn't agree with the location it was posted. The content on which you're posting is very relevant to what people are saying is an issue. I personally can't agree with anyone on this topic, and that's because these pop-ups aren't happening to me.
