I'm glad you asked your initial question, "how do we disable the beep?". I'm learning right along with you.
I am sorry to see a couple of people berating you over your posts. Some people are being downright nasty. And for no reason. There's nothing to be gained here by trying to make someone else look like a fool. It's a fools folly.

That's not what Carista is...
You aren't installing a chip or changing any locked settings. This in no way voids the warranty any more than setting the stations on your radio. You aren't "hacking" anything or installing a mod of any type. These are options already available with different settings. This is just an easy tool to change those settings.

Lets see....OP asks for solutions, people post common and viable solutions, OP complains about said solutions and also speculates that those standard solutions are going to void your warranty.
TL;DR There's nothing wrong with asking stupid questions, but don't complain when people try to help you.

It’s an OBDII scanner. Can u imagine if everyone voided their warranty by scanning for fault codes... lol this hole warranty voiding thing isn’t as big of an issue as people think it is, you can replace your burnt out lightbulb yourself-it’s gonna be fine...
Also, just get an $8 WiFi OBDII off eBay and use the $10 week pass for Carista. Save urself a little bit of money.

Ah, sorry. Most people post things like this looking for DIY instructions.
In your case you'll want to just take it to the dealer and pay them to change it with their Techstream.

Sorry Dave, but you're both blaming us for how Toyota build the vehicle and I think that's kinda rude myself. Toyota did not set it up so you can program these things from the dash or the key or whatever. They set it up for the dealer to do it via the OBDII port using their software called Techstream. We've explained this and also pointed to an app called Carista. Neither of you guys like this explanation so neither of you will even google those terms to get more info. That's not our fault though, that's between you and Toyota.
How the heck did you get to 1250 posts on here without ever seeing the word "Techstream"??

What the heck did you guys want for an answer? A complete redux of the Techstream and Carista threads? I patiently explained that Carista is a phone app that you download from your phone's app store and linked him to the proper bluetooth OBDII adapter on Amazon. He didn't like that, said that there should be an easier way (this IS the easier way - Techstream is a PITA), that this way would void the warranty and that it works differently on Heeps. To which I replied he should just pay the dealer to do it. What would be the non-dick answer in your mind?
