Another Bilstein 5100 set-up question(s)

Hi all,

Finding this thread very helpful. Decided to use 5100 all 4's.
I got some concern thou.
Would it be the same case for SR5's? I know the TRD have factory lifts already. Should i change all 4 coil springs for a sr5?

TIA

TRD Pros have different suspension, TRD Off Roads have the exact same as your SR5.

What are you trying to do? Get 5100s for all 4, re-use the springs and set at 0.85? If so, you are good!

I appreciate the reply pDubs.
Yes im going on that route. 5100's for all 4. Thou thinking of upgrading the rear coils for a 1.5 added height. I was not sure if I can use the oem coils up front.

Thank you.

You can use stock coils for the front. If you use 1.5" coil lift then you would set the perch setting to the top 2 in the front.

I have 5100 all around, blistien 1.5" coils in the rear, OME trim lean spacer 0.4" on right side and set the perch to highest setting. Front sits about 1.25inch lower than rear.

Wow. What a sweet ride!
Yeah this same height i want. #2 settings would be 1.75 front right?
This is new for me and want to get it right the first time.

Thank you Panda!

Great thread, learning a lot. Have 5100s ordered for all 4 corners. 2018 4x4 SR5 model. 95% daily driver, occasional mild trail use. Here are 3 options I am considering, let me know if any issues on the last two:

1. .85 front setting, nothing else done to 4runner, seems pretty solid.
2. 1.75 front setting, 1" cornfed spacer on oem spring in rear.
3. 1.75 front setting, Dobinson 599 springs in rear

For options 2 and 3, any challenges or concerns on those? Seems like others are doing variations of those. Any input on which is better for 2 and 3 appreciated. Not worried about cost as all 3 options are very affordable it seems.

Sensors on dash after front install

After installing the front 5100’s I have lights on my dash. abs, brake, 4wd (green flashing), slip assist (driving on level street but downshifts as if I’m downhill), and the steering wheel lights on but turns off when out of park.

Anyone know why this is happening?! And I did undo the abs sensor before installing the shocks and double checked their connection after.

Thanks!
