Another new 2013 TE...

Well, after waiting a little over a month, my new Black '13 Trail Edition w/ KDSS and Nav came in. I picked it up yesterday with 1 mile on the ticker. I have loved every second of ownership so far :driving:

It will not stay stock for long. I have Icon Extended Travel CO's, Light Racing UCA's, OME 898's, OME 60080 shocks, and Metal Tech Offset Lower Links to install soon. I am also taking it in to Metal Tech on Tuesday so they can measure for sliders. Their '11 TE does not have KDSS so they need to measure for the brackets that go around the hydraulic lines.

To say I am excited is an understatement. It was a true test of patience waiting to get this vehicle.

Anyways, on to some pics. It is out with the old and in with the new. I sold my 2000 T4R Highlander 5-Spd. to my mom so it is staying in the family.

Yep, I have a '98 TRD Tacoma as well. I have not been very frequent on NWToys for a while.

Nice rig! I still have my Tacoma to punish, but this will be a wheeler in the future.

Thanks. I plan on waiting for Metal Tech's front/rear bumpers. They are only an hour from my house and they make quality products. They are awesome guys too.

Was it you that I bought the black steelies and mud terrains off of a few years back? I've also got a 2003 Tacoma. I ended up selling the steelies and mud terrains and got some stock rims off of Carhartt. Here's the Tacoma now.

Yep, thought I remembered you. Yea, those rims/tires came off of my 2000 T4R.

I got the lift installed last night with only 101 miles on the clock. As others have mentioned, the KDSS was kind of a pain to deal with on my own. But, I managed to get it all done without much headache.

Just took it in to Metal Tech today to get measured for sliders. They should have them done in a few days.

So I took my rig in to get it aligned today at Firestone (lifetime). They were able to get the front adjusted within spec due to the LR UCA's set to the "D" setting. I had them set the Caster to 4 as well.

My question is about the rear. They said one of my rears was good, but the other was showing -0.7 Camber. Is this normal? Could this be from not purchasing an adjustable panhard bar since I lifted it?

The rig is brand new, so it should not have a bent axle. Any ideas?

I like the stock size tires. Looks like you have room for the suspension to actually articulate.
I think wheel spacers all around would look great and widen the stance.

I am ditching the stock wheels and tires soon.........thankfully. I can't stand it. I am going to run 17x8 black steelies with 4" backspacing.

Anybody have any ideas on the -0.7 rear camber reading on one side. Is this normal or worth worrying about?

Just a little update. I had heated seats installed under the factory weather-resistant fabric interior. I am not a big fan of leather interior in Trucks/SUVs and I love the Trail interior.

Anyways, I had them install the switches in the factory locations (no brainer). They are nice and toasty and you can not even tell the seats were taken apart.

While in the service center at Toyota, I asked them to perform the Yaw Rate and Zero Point Calibration. I also asked that they turn off the annoying seat belt alarms (both pass. and driver). I expected a little resistance after reading other members' experience with both these requests. I was pleasantly surprised they performed both of these with no questions asked and, most importantly, free of charge. The guy who checked me in complimented the lift, but he did not have any issues with it.

I am still waiting on my wheels/tires. Can't wait to fill the wheel wells up and get some worthy tires.

I am planning to buy a new one and looking for a good deal.

Also, how much did they charge you for the heated seats installation ?
