Hello all! I have been debating the purchase of a 4Runner for about a year now. I have always been a pickup person but both my brothers have Runners and I really needed something smaller with better mileage for my day job (my 2500 Chevy 4x4 Crew was getting around 9 mpg overall!!). Anyway, I did my research and finally found the deal I had been looking for. Drove away yesterday with an '03 Limited 4x4. Mileage is around 115,500 but it appears well maintained based on service records and the interior/exterior are well kept for a vehicle its age. I hope to double that mileage and then some!!! My brother has close to 275,00 on his late 90's Runner.
Looking forward to eventually doing some mods including lift/wheels and tires first but that will probably be a bit down the road. I may also add air bags to the rear and a tranny cooler along with a frame-mounted receiver as my travel trailer is right on the line for what the stock hitch is recommended. I guess that is all for now.
