Another Speakers Amplifier Install

I think you're refering to the woman's "voice-prompts" upon initiating a command to "call, dial, play, get directions"...etc? I think you can adjust the prompter volume by using the vol knob on the hu, but you need to be in "command mode". I did it last week while in "navigation mode".
I think I'm finished with this project for now like we all say. Anyway finished project is a 4channel JL HD 600/4 with front ch powering ID CTX components and rear ch bridged for 1 RF P3SD4-10 inch sub in a small enclosure that fits behind the 3rd row seat. Replaced the rear passengers with a 2 way pioneer low wattage powered by HU only to fill the rear.
I'm very happy with the end result so far. Sounds so much better now, just need to fine tune it a bit. Only change I can think of is going with a audio control line output converter like the lc6i instead of the sni35 in the first place.
Here's a quick rundown of how the install went for future reference. Post or pm any questions about install.
Antman sub thread thread guided me in installing the amp under the driver seat. Using a Metra 70-1761 and 71-1761 saved my factory wiring from being butchered.
HU removal thread here.
Door panel removal thread here. One important thing that was left out on that thread is putting the panel back on the easy way. Removing the window seal stripping and reattaching that first on the door before reinstalling the panel would save you headache and cursing.
This thread I used to guide for speaker replacement. I ran new wires for the components and hid the crossover unit under the slushbox. Use velcro to prevent them from sliding around in there.

It should be the same as with all three trim levels. BTW: Great job you did with the sound system; and who's the lil' one in the third row... hahaha! Very good job jack'!!

That would be great, I've tried but can't seem to get to the volume setup menu it either wants to pair to a phone or add someone in phonebook.
Rigtec you're right should have researched little bit longer on my sub choice anyway I think I finally got the perfect sub match for the hd600/4 amp. Got me a Sundown Audio SD-2 8 incher in a .25 cubic ft box. Could not believe how this small sub in a tiny enclosure pounds so much better than the RF with just 300 rms feeding it. I'm looking into the minidsp that you mentioned could you post a link to a kit in their website that I would need for my setup to further fine tune my system. So this miniDSP is basically like just having an active line output converter like the audio control but better tuning ability?

Here's the miniDSP set-up that I'm using. It's the 2 x 4 "miniDSP-in-a-box", the 2 x 4 meaning... two (L & R channels from hu) in, and four (2L & 2R "parallel" channels) out. MiniDSP 2x4 | MiniDSP

With it, you will be able to configure or shape the tone of that system in an almost "endless" variety of ways. You'll have a left & right "input" parametric eq, each having 6 "configurable" bands of control. And then, 4 more parametric equalizers (with again, 6 bands each) on the output stage. Then, you have four channels of "configurable" X-overs, each with a high and lowpass filter setting.
P.S: It's really easy to set-up and use jack; "even I did it!" :yo: BTW... that's a really nice sub that you've chosen, enjoy!

Almost forgot to mention'
If/when you get your "miniDSP" 2x4 (12V car audio) platform, don't forget to include (as well), the "miniDC isolator board". This additional circuit board is a system sequencer. It has a "time-delay" circuit that will bring the amps "ON-LAST" (like 3 second delay), after the miniDSP circuitry has had time to "stablize", preventing a LOUD... KABANG!!, resulting from an "initialized system surge" on start-up. It also shuts the amps "DOWN-FIRST", to prevent a loud POP upon power-down! The cost... 12 bucks! So be sure to order this little board, along with your miniDSP & plug-in.

I believe this is the boxthst I bought which is the recommended .30 cu. Ft. And with 300 rms I have not heard it struggle with any music i play. Which i heard can be pushed with more rms amps. This is my first 8 incher and actually liked it more than the bigger 12s that I had due to its box size its very surprising with the bass it puts out. If you have 3rd row it fits perfectly in the back with the seats up. Very good sq sub for 1 8 incher.
My jl audio hd600/4 amp is starting to lose one of its channel I might try to get at least 500rms amp to push it.
