Ok... so i've decided im going with a 1.25" f/ 1.50" r spacer lift.. i need new shocks so ill be replacing those while im in there... will KYB Gas-a-just be long enough with the spacers in there? And for the front spacers, would you suggest the over mount or under mount style? Over mount keeping the stock spring rate

what kind (model/brand) of spacer lift are you getting?

perhaps you should ask the manufacturer by calling them directly.

Example ToyTech ... they have great customer support from what I hear.

What are you planning on doing? Is the lift for looks or are you going to do some mild wheeling?

If you need new struts and shocks you might as well do new springs and struts instead of putting spacers on already saggy 3rd gen springs. This is probably not what you want to hear, this was originally my plan but decided I was better off just replacing everything just my .02c

I did a spacer lift on my old 2003 4Runner and it was just fine for mild wheeling and daily driving with spacers and stock length shocks.

Hope some of this helps

Its an 02 2wd... mild lift just for looks, dont really offroad too much other than the occasional dirt road while camping or something... new springs isnt an option, not looking to spend that much.. was gonna go with Daystar spacers

For your needs then I would think you should be just fine and the stock length struts and shocks will work. I did the overmount spacers when I did it it rode just as nice as stock I had Daystar spacers as well. Hope this helps goodluck and post pics

I put and immediately removed a couple of Daystar spacers from my Runner, specifically the ones in the front. It was like running with no suspension at all, too stiff! The ones in the rear suspension were just fine but started having issues with the rear end moving sideways, just slightly. Removed those too (both pairs available for sale) and put a set of OME coils all around (880's and 906's) and it feels much better, no more contact with bump stops, but having an amplified issue with the sideway movement in the rear suspension. Just found the differential is off center for about 1/8". Waiting for my adjustable panhard to arrive and see if it really solves that issue. Keep you posted. Right now have KYB's all around too.

Would you guys consider this stance saggy? To me it looks like it sits right, just needs to be slightly taller

Thought about removing the running boards, but they come in handy when my hip starts bothering me... need to hitch to hook up a trailer to haul some crap off

Spacers are only $80 and replacing my shocks is a necessity, so i figure while i have to be in there ill toss in some spacers
