YOU reported the thread as spam and YOU got banned?? Thats Fu<king ridiculous!!
And the worst part is whoever the moderator is stays anonymous and doesn't even give you (us) the courtesy of an explanation.

He posted a picture of a can of Spam or something in it, then reported it. He says he does that every time there is a spam thread, never been banned for it before. Maybe the moderators forget that the regular users traffic is how the site makes money?
So you cannot call people jerks here, or go anywhere near a spam thread. What other laws are unwritten in this dictatorship?

Announcing Our New Infraction System
Because of recent increases in spam activity and personal attacks between members, effective immediately T4R.org is implementing an infractions system. Our goal is to make it easier for everyone to have a good time by enforcing the policies and rules of the board.
The system uses points and the number of infractions. The infractions will be issued by the Infractions ID that all Admins and Moderators have access to.
Points will use the following scale:
Whining 2 points
Personal Attacks 5 points for all parties involved
Posts For the Purpose of Instigating Flame Wars 10 points to poster and all respondents that "egg on" the flame war
Rated X, R, or NC-17 Content 25 points
Solicitations from Businesses without Prior Permission 10 points
Pics unrelated to the T4R or excessive pic posting 2 points
Multiple Registrations 25 points for all IDs
Multiple postings 3 points per duplicate post
Post whoring 5 points
Creepy or gigantic sigs 3 points
Links / Discussion / Promotion of Illegal Activities 25 points
Posting in SPAM Threads 5 points
Spam 25 points
Points and each infraction remain effective for 60 days from the date of the infraction. There is one exception: 25-point infractions are permanent.
A combination of points and multiple infractions will trigger automatic bans of varying lengths.
* 5 points or two infractions triggers a two-day ban.
* 10 points or three infractions is a seven-day ban
* 25 points or four infractions is a permanent ban.
If a user violates multiple rules in a single post, then the highest point value will be applied. The system does not allow stacking of violations within one post.
This system will help the Admins and Moderators to more easily enforce the rules so we all have a good time and keep the site family-friendly. This system does not remove the discretion of the Moderators and Admins to take action without using the Infractions system and ID.

This "points" system seems overly complicated since all of them lead to bans (except whining, "creepy" sigs(??), and excessive pics [broc]). So, it should simply be whatever ban length for whatever infraction. All of the infractions are pretty subjective, too. So, I don't see the point of trying to make the "system" objective. Seems like someone with far too much time on their hands devised this system. Maybe we should call them demerits.
25 points for multiple registrations is a permanent ban for all IDs! It's a good thing Antman and Brock had their wives register and speak for them otherwise we'd be at a complete loss. Qjake on the other hand...

I agree that we NEED to have rules, but perhaps they could be made more clear and consistent.
For example, some of the smilies provided by the forum are not exactly in line with the rules. We have:

I personally don't have a problem with any of them, nor would I have a problem if someone that I've interacted with for over a year on T4R called me a jerk. But, that's me. I got banned for agreeing with someone (as a joke, no less) that called a member, that I consider a friend, a jerk. Even our own Moderator called it ridiculous. Uh- sorry- back to the smilies:

I've been a Manager for over 20 years and can tell you, if you want to have rules and you want people to follow them you need to be as consistent as possible. In every conceivable way.
How can anyone justify some of the bannings that have happened lately? Every single one of us that are here every night has broken the rules posted above in one way or another without even trying.
They are impossibly vague and cannot be followed, or disciplined, with any sense of fairness, IMO.
Now my friends- I'm off to Disney with the 2 most beautiful little girls in the world and my lovely wife. Bye for a week!
