BTW, on topic- my constant 12v mod doesn't work anymore. The switched side works, but the constant on side doesn't. I figure it could be three things- the fuse, the switch, or my wiring job. I'm guessing the latter. So I'll be opening up my dash later. I need to become a competent solderer!

But to come to his defense, being that he is in one of the most crime prone areas of the country, he has to avoid stray bullets, unregistered/unlicensed cars driven by pimps, AND put out fires, all the while coming up with ideas for his rig. He is a true multi-tasker!

12v hot all the time

what would you recommend for simply making the center console 12v outlet hot all the time (no switch)? I just got my 2010 4R last week and haven't figured out all the wiring yet. Are all the 12v outlets run to the same fuse?

Really easy to accomplish that. Just cut the green wire at the 12v plug and connect it to a 12v + source. The mini fuse tap in the 12v mod writeup, for instance. Make sure the loose end you cut is insulated (electrical tape or fold it over on itself and heat shrink it) so it doesn't contact a ground and blow a fuse. Leave the white wire connected- it's the ground. Have fun!

TAILGATER CUPHOLDERS
Did the mod tonight and it came out great. Used the exact same cup holder. However, 1.25" from the edge would have been way too close so 1.75" worked for me. In the end my placement seems exactly as Antmans. 13.25 seemed right but on my Limited I was greeted by a metal bracket taunting at me through the passenger side hole. Upon inspection it was the bracket that held the Tire Pressure sensor and there was no way the cup holder would fit. The bracket is held to the truck by one bolt and the sensor is held in by two screws. I got rid of the bracket and wire tied the sensor up and out of the way. Hope it does not cause issues down the road.
I did use a 2.75" hole saw but still needed to dermal it out just a bit to make it fit snug.
