Any 5th-Gen 4Runner crosses Arctic Circle? Here is mine

Make sure you can actually get into Canada before you get too far into planning the trip. One DUI from 1989 has made me "criminally inadmissible" and our governments share all that information now.

It doesn't take much when you're in "the system." My dad almost didn't make it back into Canada once. Something about him missing a flight to South-East Asia in the 60's.

Yes, no more thread jacking! Sorry! But back to the OP's initial post.. I actually think it would make a really awesome road trip to venture from down south here, travel north along the rockies and work some of Canada into the route and maybe even go as far north as the arctic circle if I can arrange a long enough trip! It's the most amazing landscape yee have up there and I'd really love to tour up north someday, hopefully soon.

Rules on that changed a few years ago, 1 DUI no longer counts against you. More than 1, well then there are a few hoops to jump through. DUI's are considered more serious in Canada than the USA, whereas minor drug possession is more serious in the USA.

Sweet trip bro! But in fact you are not the first in a 5g t4r. I was in the market for a new vehicle. I had just started my 3 weeks of holidays. I didn't know what to do with the time off. I went looking at vehicles. I decided I wanted a Toyota. I decided imwanted a 4runner. I made the deal that day without test driving any other vehicles. I wanted something that could get me up the dempster and back! I left Edmonton, went to liard hot springs (took two days to get there) Whitehorse, Dawson city. Wanted to go all the way to inuvik, but the ferry was still closed! (this was early June I thi k) Camped at engineer creek, stopped at eagle plains, and found out the arctic circle was only an hour or two up the road! Made erthere. Stopped took a picture of the sign, and turned back. Let's hope I actually crossed the line on my uturn, or maybe you are the first! Then took the top of the world highway, and the Alaska marine highway down to prince Rupert and back to edmo.

What a great trip and I love my t4r!!! I think the trip was about 7000 or 9000 km can't remember, but man was my truck interior ever dusty from the gold dust and dirt roads up in the Yukon! Had to take it into bubbles and get them to blast it clean with compressed air!!!! Take care and PS. I LOVE your licence plate! Canada kicks butt dude.

WOW, man. I think you are the first.

We drove to Inuvik, and took a tiny plane to Tuktoyaktuk. From Calgary, the trip was exactly 7793KM.

According to the computer, the avg gas was 12.8L/100km, which is 18.375MPG. We added Premium gas during almost the entire trip though.
